The view of the ocean and shoreline were unbeatable. The cottage was well appointed and extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone!

Everything was perfect. The thoughtful layout and accomodations maximized comfort and made the most of the spectacular and unique location. It was a privilege to stay in this carefully preserved part of California history.

Thought we were in Heaven!!! What an amazing & magical place!!! We love hearing the waves every night!!! We brought groceries & did not leave until our last morning! The views,beach,& hikes were beautiful!!! Spectacular sunsets!!! Very peaceful!!! Thank you Sara for being a great host!!!

Amazing property!

The perfect pace to stay in Carmel if you like the sound of waves crashing, beautiful views, a great walking path and beach outside your door, and extremely responsive hosts!

Thanks for the detailed directions! I am so glad we arrived during daylight hours otherwise it would be easy to miss.Location? AWESOME. Cottage? Dated, but worth every penny. Stunning views and easy walk to the nearby walking paths and a quick drive to Carmel or Point Lobos.Or bring a bike and it’s an easy bike ride to Carmel or Point Lobos.

Cozy, Comfortable, Convenient, and Quiet

We enjoyed our entire 4 days in this wonderful little cottage. Get back to simple living and take in the superb view of Carmel Bay. Great set-up for our dog, too.

Breathtaking Views!

Our family had such a wonderful time staying at the Abalone Cottage! The hosts were very communicative and the house was spotless upon arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed the walking trail nearby. Highly suggest this lovely home to anyone who wants a quiet place to stay right on the ocean. We can’t wait to stay again!

Stunning location & property!!

We enjoyed the property during our week's stay - the views are incredible!! Enjoyed the adjacent trail along the shoreline. We like to make our own meals, so just wish the kitchen's range was more user-friendly.

Paradise at Abalone Cottage

I have stayed with friends at bothWhaler’s Cottage and Abalone Cottage several times. Each and every time has been a delight. The cottages are sublime and the location is unbelievably gorgeous. The hosts are wonderful.

A Perfect Stay in California

This was the perfect get away from a Mn arctic blast in January. Sarah was responsive and helpful with every question we had and Mark was gracious in orienting us to the property and cottage upon our arrival. The cottage was small, comfortable and cozy which was perfect for our needs and the view was beautiful. The location was nice with easy access to Point Lobos and other trails. We truly enjoyed our stay at this property and would love to visit again.

Beautiful View, confortable house and great hosts.

Comfortable and clean house. Comfortable beds and linens, very wl stocked kitchen with nice utensils. Quiet house and restful location. Nice shops nearby, loved the local stores and restraunts. Thank you for the bottle of wine it was nice to enjoy on our first nite at the house, watching the sunset. Will definitely return.
