IMPORTANT NOTES

You must be 25 or older to book this property. No smoking. No parties or events.

PET POLICY

This home is dog-friendly. Guests must notify us upon booking if bringing a dog. A pet fee applies. Limit and size restrictions may apply. The following breeds are prohibited by association by-laws: Doberman, Rottweiler, Chow, or Pit Bull.

RULES FOR RENTING WITH A DOG

• Dog must be older than 9 months

• Dog must remain on a leash when outside of the house

• Guests must clean up after their dog

• No excessive barking

Beautiful duplex with plenty of room!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice amenities, and maintenance was easy to get in touch with. Wonderful location. Lots to do within a few minutes of the rental. Very happy.

Pictures and house # of our rental changed last minute.

Right before we arrived we received notification that our rental was given to someone else. We were put on the other side of the duplex. It was nice but it was different than pictures we were sent. Except for this everything was good.

Nice home but rental company unresponsive

Property missing Wi-Fi and cable tv as promised in ad. Rental company not responsive when contacted. Wi-Fi issue finally resolved but cable tv wasn’t.

Terrible stay.. On arriving on Sat 4pm check in there was NO AC on bottom level. Then we discovered NO working refrigerator. A call was placed to management Sunday morning telling about problems. We had two different people come out to try to fix refrigerator… Nothing helped. Later that day we had a AC person telling us it won’t work. All the while it’s 84 degrees in the house. Management said nothing else was available & NO full refund was offered. We had to find another house with a different company. The Owner was aware of problems in his house & because it’s For Sale he didn’t want to fix anything!! This was a TERRIBLE experience & Sunset should be ashamed for letting this happen. I hope the future bookings see this review in time before they go through what we did.

A renter from Pelham.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was misrepresented on the web site. It stated queen beds. In 4 of the rooms the beds were full and the one u slept in was noisy every time I turned over. Also, some of the furniture was stained and too nasty to sit on. The place had a stale odor and was not clean. The sheets where I slept were stained. The grill did not get hot and was very small for that many people. Overall, not a good experience as to housing, but we had a good time otherwise.

Upstairs A/C never worked

Despite the many amenities of this property, my team was on the Island to work. We needed the property to shower and sleep. There was one bedroom downstairs where the a/c worked and 4 bedrooms upstairs where the a/c did NOT work when we arrived and never got fixed by the time we checked out. The owner (or owner's representative) was responsive to our multiple texts, did send out an a/c repair company on a weekend. They could not fix it and advised the owner to replace the unit. My team NEVER had a/c upstairs. By the time an alternative was offered (over 48 hours after first reporting the issue) my team had settled into accommodating themselves downstairs on couches, the floor, etc... The offer to move to another unit (attached I think), was too late to impress my team and was disingenuous in its offering because access was not provided with the offer. This owner refused to offer any discount or refund citing "fine print" and caring not a bit about the disarray and discomfort to my team. RENTOR BEWARE!!!! Heaven forbid that, should you choose to rent from this owner, anything might go wrong that causes significant issues for you.

We deeply regret the issue with the AC that you had during your stay. Malfunctions do happen in rentals, just like they do in our homes. We did offer to move you to the other side of this duplex and would have provided you with access information, but you chose to stay. We did try to remedy the situation, but unfortunately, it could not be resolved quickly, thus the reason we offered to move you. We would love the opportunity to host you again and provide you with a better experience.

POOR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT/shared wall condo

Upon arrival we found 3 young men inside the property. They stated they also had rented the property and had the same code we were given to enter. We went to the adjacent property and the code worked there as well. There was a strong smell of “skunk” throughout the entire property. I called Sunset Prop. and told them of the mix up with the addresses, codes and smell. They told us to stay next door. No codes were changed to enter either property. The rest of our stay was very eventful with Gulf Shores PD making 2 visits on 2 separate nights to the property for the people next door. They arrested a few of them for disorderly conduct, drugs and possible weapons. The PD stated that the condo was rented by a third party who was not staying there and that they had received multiple complaints from other renters. The PD had to evict the occupants on the 3rd night after getting in touch with the owners. We reported the overcrowding(40+/- guests) to the security gate officer. He must not have reported it to the property manager since we were told that they were unaware of the “gatherings”. On the last day of our stay one of the employees arrived to view the damage next door. We told her about the problems the past 3 days/nights, and she advised us to contact her boss through email. The results of that exchange were not satisfactory. We have been visiting Fort Morgan for 10 yrs and have always enjoyed it. But we will definitely be avoiding any rentals managed by Sunset Properties!
