Hi there! I'm Angie, a married journalist, turned mom, and now entrepreneur. I was born in Cali Colombia and I have lived in the U.S. for more than 18 years. I like almost every type of music but I really enjoy Latin folk and alternative music, oh, and salsa (you know, the dancing). My hobbies include cooking (recently learning to make sourdough from scratch!), reading and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

I love how peaceful and friendly this neighborhood is. You can see people exercising in the mornings, others walking their pets and families with their children playing outside in the afternoons. Many people use bicycles to move around too. There are many really good restaurants and many food options around AQUAMARIA. The Fort Lauderdale airport is less than 10 minutes away from our place, which makes it the perfect destination for travelers, and highways are within minutes from us. We are at a central location of it all.

The neighborhood is very close to Las Olas Beach, yet without the traffic of the beach and very quiet at night. We have several parks around and AQUAMARIA itself is full of nature and a beautiful, curated landscape.

Every piece at AQUAMARIA, from each plant and lighting fixture to every pillow and sugar option, was carefully selected as if it were for our own home. We wanted to create a cozy yet elegant space for our guests to feel welcome, at peace, and ready to unplug and relax in our little paradise.

AQUAMARIA is a fully renovated duplex house with a newly converted saltwater pool and outdoor dining and living areas surrounded by nature and privacy. We made this possible by raising our fence a bit for the comfort of our guests. When the sun goes down, the night view will make you never want to leave. Soft lights illuminate the giant Birds of Paradise, the illuminated pool, and the soft lights of the umbrellas create the perfect intimate atmosphere. It's almost dreamy. And we created it this way for our guests and the memories they will create at AQUAMARIA.

What we wanted to create was a place where you could travel light, and we confidently think we accomplished it. We made sure our guests have everything they need in case they want to prepare full meals during their stay, providing them with pots and pans, pressure cookers/slow cookers, panini presses, and baking pans. All rooms have a charging station in case someone forgets to pack their phone charger, and our bathrooms are also equipped with some essentials like toothpaste and makeup remover for those who may need them.

AQUAMARIA is not just a place to stay, it is set up in a way that offers a positive and comprehensive experience where you can relax, disconnect from your everyday stressors, reconnect with yourself and nature, and recharge. We work hard to make this happen for all our guests. Oh, and best of all, our house, being a duplex, has everything double: two fully equipped kitchens, two indoor and two outdoor living rooms, as well as two indoor and two outdoor dining areas.

We are the perfect option for groups of family and friends or business trips. We hope to have the privilege of being your hosts.
