Historical Center With Large Terrace

The house is located in one of the most fascinating part of Lucca: in the heart of the historical Center, a few meters from the Wall of Lucca. You will stay in a spacious apartment with a large terrace and a fully equipped kitchen! The apartment is on the second floor (45 steps from the sidewalk) of a building located in a quiet area.

The Space

The apartment is composed of a bright large living room, with TV, sofa, sofabed and an armchair. There are two double rooms overlooking the Walls, a modern full equipped kitchen, a small service room, two bathrooms and a 45m2 terrace with a large dinner table.
There is also internet WiFi and your pets are welcome!

The Neighborhood

The house is located in one of the most fascinating part of Lucca: in the heart of the historical Center, a few meters from the Wall of Lucca and Piazza Napoleone, the apartment is in a perfect position to appreciate the atmosphere of the old town. Surrounded by the magnolia trees of Corso Garibaldi, you will be just a few minutes away from the San Martino cathedral, San Michele's church and from the shops in Via Fillungo. Furthermore, if you want to relax and appreciate the italian coffe and ice-creams, you will find the "Caffè delle Mura" and the "Gelateria Veneta" just a few steps away from home.

Other Things to Note:

-There are many toll parking near apartment (the closer is at 50 meters) the names are: Piazza della Cittadella, Piazza ex-Caserma, Piazzale Verdi, Parcheggio Carducci. The cheapest costs € 8 for 24 hours.

- Tourist tax: €2.5 per person/night max 3 nights (€7.5 per person)

- The use of gas for heating has an additional cost of EUR 1.30 per cubic meter per stay, if used.

Perfect Location

Beautiful apartment

This is such a beautiful apartment inside the walls of Lucca. It is a beautiful building, incredibly spacious inside, very well equipped and with a lovely roof terrace. Very quick walk to the key sights and the walls and lovely bars, shops and restaurants. Couldn’t be better, and we would definitely stay again if we were visiting Lucca.

A true home away from home!

Property exactly as described. Luciano was kind, generous and considerate of us - even when we arrived close to 10pm! Home is very close to everything and yet a quiet escape after a long day exploring Lucca. Beautiful home in every way. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your lovely home. Beautiful Apartment

This apartment is one of the best that we have stayed at in Italy. The apartment is meticulously maintained and is convenient to everything in Lucca. It has everything you could need for your stay. Luciano was easy to communicate with and provided helpful advice. We intend to return for a longer time.

Perfect stay ❤️ Perfect Host

Luciano went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful! We had a rental car as we had been traveling for two weeks in Italy. Upon arrival we came into city the wrong way and he met us and rode with us to safely park our car. His explanation of details of amenities and info on apartment was very easily understood. His apartment is perfectly maintained and he lives nearby in case you have any questions of anything - it was just perfect !!

Luxury in Lucca

This is quite probably the best holiday accommodation we have stayed in, in Italy. The apartment is large with the most fabulous terrace and wonderful planting and comfortable outdoor furniture. Modern and very efficient washing machine ( we are travelling for 3 months , so this was welcome!) It is even better than described, spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Luciano communicated very well and quickly, he made us very welcome and nothing was a problem. He insisted on carrying our luggage ( it’s three flights of stairs 40+ steps, no lift) upstairs - there is very good info in the apartment. Lucca is beautiful - the wonderful accommodation was an absolute treat. Thank you.

Excepcional apartment in beautiful Lucca

The apartment, which is within Lucca city walls near San Peter’s door, is a few block from the main attractions. The apartment is extremely comfortable and luminous with two large bedrooms and bathrooms, a very well appointed living room and a large kitchen with all the necessary wares to prepare a meal for a group of to 4-6 people. The apartment also ihas a lovely terrace with an enchanting view of Lucca rooftops and nearby church tower. Lucca is a small city with many attractions and centrally located, which facilitates visiting other towns in the area by train, bus or car. Overall you cannot be wrong if choose this apartment in la Toscana. Finally, Luciano is a fantastic host that very likely will offer you very useful tips: my advice is pay attention, he really knows Lucca y la Toscana.

Great Stay in the Terrace Apartment

We were so happy with our stay at the Terrace Apartment in Lucca. The accommodations were perfection and the owner of the property, Luciano, was absolutely charming. He was available in case we needed anything and assisted bringing out luggage up the flight of stairs to get to the apartment. The decoration of the apartment is very tasteful with nice comfortable furniture and lovely artwork throughout. The Kitchen is well stocked and we really enjoyed being able to cook our own meals rather then going out. The bedrooms have very comfortable beds and bedding and the bathrooms are as nice as they appear in the photos. We also really loved the terrace. The plants were lovely and the furniture was also comfortable there. A little oasis away from the rest of the city. I would love to come back and stay longer. 3 night was not enough and I highly recommend staying with Luciano at his Terrace apartment.

The best

This rental would have to be in our top two, and we’ve been using VRBO for over 15 years. We stayed for a month and the apartment is well suited for long term. There was plenty of space for the two of us. The larger of the two bathrooms was well finished, the kitchen is large with plenty of cooking utensils and prep space, and the apartment is clean and nicely done, it does not feel like someone just threw it together. The large balcony was gorgeous, full of flowering plants; we did not get to enjoy it as we were there in November and the weather was cold and rainy, but there are plenty of windows to allow natural light, so the weather did not dampen our spirits. Our host Luciano greeted us and explained everything and was most helpful, fixing a water issue we had the same day. Location, location, location, walking distance to the train, bus station, even with luggage, and short walk to the wall. Five minute walk to city center, restaurants around the corner, and yet nice and quiet, at least when we were there. Bicycles, two of them, this is one of the reasons we booked this rental, we must have bikes if staying a month. Go to Glam around the corner for hamburgers but be aware they put a dressing (French dressing?/not sure what it was) but we actually liked it and went back a second time. Also try Pizzeria Santa Maria for the best pizza, we’ve been all over Italy and this is one of our favorites. The only thing to be aware of are the flight of stairs to the apartment but this is easily overlooked when you see the views from the bedrooms, priceless. We were sad to leave, Luciano and his family were so friendly and gracious; Lucca for us is magic and we will return again next year, it keeps drawing us back. We loved this apartment, highly recommend it.

liebevoll eingerichtetes Appartement in bester Lage

Die etwa zwei Quadratkilometer große Innenstadt Luccas mit der vollständig erhaltenen Stadtmauer ist schön, und innerhalb dieser Mauern liegt die Wohnung ideal. Wir sind mit der Bahn angereist, der Bahnhof ist in 7min erreichbar. Die Wohnung ist groß und mit zwei Bädern auch zu fünft komfortabel. Der sehr freundliche Vermieter hat uns ein drittes Bett mit in das zweite Schlafzimmer gestellt. Die mit Oliven-und Zitronenbäumchen bestückte Dachterrasse bescherte uns schöne Sonnenstunden. Die Wohnung war gut ausgestattet; wir haben fast immer selbst gekocht. Ein traumhafter Herbsturlaub!

Close to everything, in style

Apartment beautifully furnished with fully equipped kitchen so we could entertain family in the area. Two bedrooms on opposite sides of the apartment , one twin bedded, allows privacy. Walk to everything. Luciano a gracious host. We loved the experience! A presto, Luciano!

Lucca estate 2021

Le foto non rendono abbastanza grazia all’appartamento, che è più bello di quello che sembra. Il signor Luciano ci ha accolto in modo caloroso e ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie, sia dell’appartamento che della città. Wunderschöne Wohnung in Lucca

Ganz liebe Betreuung, alles bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht! Sehr aufmerksamer Besitzer, Willkommensgeschenk und Liste mit guten Adressen bezüglich Essen und anderen nützlichen Dingen. Wasserquelle neben dem Haus. Alles war super sauber, die Einrichtung sehr geschmackvoll und aufeinander abgestimmt. Super Lage, alles in Lucca zu Fuß zu erreichen, kostenpflichtige Parkplätze in der Nähe.

Beautiful apartment in an ideal location

The apartment looks exactly as it does in the photographs. Beautifully presented, with good quality linen and furnishings, very spacious and a fully equipped kitchen. The terrace is large and very comfortable with areas to relax in and to eat in and a lovely array of plants. It is possible to enjoy sunshine or shade on the terrace. Luciano was a charming host, extremely helpful and kind. He gave us a wonderful welcome with the local speciality of Brucellato, a most delicious sweet fruited bread and a bottle of wine. He gave us information about the town and left us with a map and also 2 bicycles, which everyone uses in Lucca. There is so much to see in the town and the location of this apartment means you are very close to everything but also far enough away to not be too disturbed by late night revellers. Although we had a car for the month, places are easily accessible by train which are very easy to use. We used them for Florence and Pisa, but you can also get to the coast - Viareggio, and quite a few other places. The countryside is very beautiful and there are some lovely little towns . We took a 3hour each way trip to the Ferrari museum at Maranello and passed through a ski resort, Abetone going from a temperature of 35 in Lucca to 20 here! An amazing trip - the museum was terrific, but the journey each way was spectacular and didn't feel like we'd spent 6 hours in the car. We would highly recommend this apartment for both long and short stays. There are plenty of restaurants but also a supermarket within a 5 minute walk and other food shops if you want to cook for yourself. Grazie Luciano, Rita e Sophie per una vacanza indimenticabile! Wunderschöne Wohnung mit fantastischer Terrasse an perfektem Ort

Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll und zweckmässig eingerichtet und extrem sauber. Die Terrasse ist das Schmuckstück der Wohnung, sie bietet viel Platz, viel Sonne und bei schönem Wetter kann man sich keinen besseren Ort vorstellen um zu geniessen. Die Lage der Wohnung ist ebenfalls perfekt, sie ist nahe an der Stadtmauer gelegen und mit wenigen Schritten befindet man sich bei Restaurants, Cafes, etc. Luciana ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und die Abwicklung hat absolut problemlos funktioniert. Wenn wir Lucca wieder mal besuchen, würden wir definitiv wieder hier reservieren.

Perfect apartment for enjoying lovely Lucca

This was truly one of the best vacation rentals we have had. The apartment is a wonderful combination of comfort and beauty with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, luxury linens, lovely pastel wall colors, great roomy kitchen and bathrooms, very comfortable livng room seating with two large sofas and oversized coffee table with interesting books about Lucca, and last but not least a large terrace with nice views of the old rooftops and towers and comfortable seating for dining or lounging. As stated in the other reviews the location is perfect - easy walking distance to the train and all the sights within Lucca’s walls. The master bedroom has beautiful light coming from It’s two large corner windows and we loved looking from them to the pretty tree lined street below. It reminded me of a French impressionist painting. Finally, Luciano is a gracious host . He left us with many goodies in the kitchen when we arrived and he was always available for us when we had any questions or needed recommendations. We were at the apartment for almost three weeks and during that time we went to the Cinque terre area for two days and made a day trip to Pistoia. One of our favorite restaurants in Lucca is the always busy Pasquale’s. Reservations a must.
