This villa exceeded all of our expectations! The house was well appointed, clean, with breathtaking views. We felt very comfortable and safe, and our house mom, Ingrid made the stay extra special! Our favorite beach was Flamingo, as the kids can play in the waves, the sand was soft and natural shade can be easily found. We will definitely return and can’t recommend this house enough! Thank you to Daniela and her team for their warm care and attention to detail during our stay. They were extremely responsive and helpful.

The house was everything exactly as pictured and described. The concierge service is helpful in making plans for activities and answering questions. We loved it and would go back.

Stunning property, great service!

This property is stunning and even better than pictures. Daniela and the team made sure everything was good and provided 10/10 service. Each room having ac and a bathroom was so convenient. House was extremely clean and the location was the best part. 5 minutes to playa grande, 30 minutes to Tamarindo. 40 minutes to brasilito/playa flamingo Thank you to the team for making this it a memorable trip!

The perfect escape

This house is even more gorgeous in person! For the entirety of our stay we were all saying how we wish we could’ve stayed forever. The furnishings are gorgeous and the view is spectacular (especially if your arrival is after a few rainstorms so the jungle is nice and green). Daniella was also a total superstar- she helped us book everything from transportation, chefs, activities and gave wonderful recommendations- all which occurred without a hitch. The house mom during our stay was also so nice to have, she kept the house nice and tidy and helped with laundry, dishes and anything else! The one con of this place, which we were aware of when booking, is that it is about 30 minutes out from Tamarindo. If you plan on going into Tamarindo often you will end up spending more in transportation costs. Overall I would book this house again, the house itself, the view, the gated community it was in always making us feel so safe, was worth the extra drive since we only had a few trips into Tamarindo planned!

Fantastic!

We loved our stay at this property! The view is simply perfection! We had a stunning view of the mountains and the ocean which not all properties offered - we absolutely loved watching the storms (rain and sharp lightning) cross the valley. The view really made this place special. The house was great...the kitchen was perfectly equipped (even with glass storage containers which we appreciated). There are 2 living rooms on the main level with smart tvs and a private balcony off every bedroom with views - it was really set up for a large group or family who sometimes want some alone time away. Two identical master bedrooms (one up and one down). Every bedroom had their own bathroom and large walk-in closet with full closet systems so there really shouldn't be any fighting for bedrooms. One thing to note is the pool is located downstairs on a different level than the kitchen. The neighborhood is incredibly secure (gated, 24/7 attendant who checks license plates/drivers licenses in and out, and no restaurant located in the community so the public wasn't allowed in) - we felt VERY safe and hardly saw anyone! We did not see animals like we thought we would - we had to hike the trails in the neighborhood to find howler monkeys, but that was really all we saw. Cotes got into the trash at night, some iguanas, crabs...I was expecting more from what I read before our trip. Prepare to drive 25-30 minutes to get to anything (grocery, restaurants, marina, etc). There really wasn't much in Playa Grande..at all. Auto Mercado was our go to grocery store for several reasons (quality meat, selection, etc) and it was all the way in Tamarindo with the quickest being dirt roads with serious holes. I recommend motion sickness patches for kids on the roads in the area - to and from Liberia was tough without them. Daniella and her team were FANTASTIC! We had an issue with the hot water and they were all over it and had it fixed as quickly as possible. Take the back entrance out of Las Ventanas (the neighborhood) down the dirt road to Playa Honda. Google map it and hike 4-5 mins after parking and you will literally have a white sand beach under the mangrove trees with the tiniest little crabs all to yourself all day. It was magical. All in all it was perfect...prepare to drive a bit, but VERY SAFE, clean, and gave us the ability to relax away from the crowds - exactly what we wanted! We have mixed feelings about our stay. Unfortunately, it didn’t start well.We arrived at 3pm after confirming the house would be ready, but it was still in poor condition from previous guests—food on the BBQ, dishes and food in the sink, garbage not emptied, fingerprints on glass railings, and only two clean towels. The pool was murky and unusable, requiring treatment, and wasn’t properly swimmable for a day. Cleaners were still there until 6pm, which was frustrating after a long travel day, especially given the price.We also encountered several scorpions, which led to a fumigation visit. While we understand this can happen in tropical climates, it added to the discomfort.The biggest issue was NO HOT WATER for the first five days. It was eventually fixed, but disappointing to have cold showers for most of the trip and made it hard to clean dishes properly. The concierge wasn’t very helpful and directed us to deal directly with the owner.To the owner’s credit, they arranged private in-home massages to make up for the inconveniences, which we appreciated.That said, the property itself is beautiful and the views are stunning! Overall, the home has great potential, but the experience didn’t meet expectations. We would try another place in that area instead next time.
