Welcome to Riverbend, a Luxury Getaway on The Potomac, three private acres anchored by an idyllic, modern Estate with private dock located directly on the Potomac River and just 90 minutes from Washington, DC.



Featuring 7 spacious bedrooms, 6 and a half custom bathrooms, two bunk areas, & multiple living dining areas for group celebrations, this country escape will become your favorite place to come and relax!



A separate cottage next to the main house showcases a recreation area featuring full size pool table and ping pong table.



Just outside on the back patio, a 4 person spa awaits you year round and is heated to 102 degrees at all times.



You`ll enjoy premium business class Starlink Wifi service throughout the home and the grounds as well as smart TV`s in every bedroom with Premium Dish Network Service lo.



The Estate showpiece is a stunning riverfront lounging area with custom seating, an enormous firepit with firewood supplied.



Your private lighted floating Potomac dock is stocked with Paddleboards and Kayaks to explore the storied waters of the Potomac. There`s also plenty of space to seamlessly dock your own boat if you bring it along!



Disclosures: There are two outdoor cameras: One on the main house doorbell and one in the back yard outside of the back door for security.



Parties and events are not permitted. The home is intended for quiet gatherings. Guests are not permitted at the home who are not included in the initial reservation. If a party or event is held at the home or additional guests come that are not included in the initial reservation, the stay will be terminated and there will not be a refund issued.



*Please note the main house is new construction completed in 2023. The cottage is an existing structure built around 2000 with some minor updates since then.

Great communication with Melissa in preparing us for our stay. She was very responsive to our needs. The home is very modern, lots of space, plenty of beds, and a great fire pit by the river. Easy to get to Whitetail Ski Resort from here and just 2 hrs outside of the DC area. Could take a day trip to DC if we wanted to. We enjoyed our rural West Virginia holiday.

This is a great property with lots of space for a large group. Plenty of space to gather or get some space from your fellow guests. This stretch of the Potomac river is beautiful and uncrowded. We had a great time down by the dock. Host was very communicative. Highly recommend.

Riverbend was the perfect place to host a women’s retreat! The property is gorgeous, spacious and private. It was the perfect place for our guests to pause and disconnect. Communication with the property host were seemless and Melissa was quick to respond to our questions. My guests loved being able to paddle out on the Potomac or simply watch the boats go by. We were able to bring in a private yoga coach and hold the yoga session on the dock riverside. We also brought in a private chef and put the gourmet kitchen to great use!Whether you are looking for a family escape, a girls trip away, or a company retreat, Riverbend is your perfect destination.

Our family thoroughly our stay at this beautiful well-equipped house. Our family agreed this was our favorite vacation house. Great location on the Potomac River made better with all the available water toys. My Great-Grand Children enjoyed the fishing and even caught a few. We were slightly disappointed that the dock shown in one picture wasn't there. It was destroyed in a recent storm.

Property is better than pictures can illustrate. Whoever designed this property thought about all the details. We had a wonderful 10 night stay. Will be back.

Fantastic Property!

We had 15 family members and friends staying there for 4 days. It was very comfortable and the kitchen is quite luxurious! Be aware that it's way out in the country, which was exactly what I wanted!Melissa was very responsive to our questions.Only issue we had was that the kitchen wasn't super clean (empty drawers had crumbs, microwave wasn't clean), but not bad enough to complain.

Ideal river destination

We will be coming back to this hidden gem on the Potomac. The house is immaculate. Perfect spot for a family or a large group of friends. Even in early April, a few in our group used the docks to plunge in the river. Can’t wait to bring the family back.

A beautiful gem on the Potomac River.

What a wonderful weekend, in this spacious and beautiful home on the scenic Potomac River. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the area. The host was very accommodating and responsive. We can't wait to come back in the summer to enjoy the dock, river front patio, and fire pit. We'd highly recommend this to locals too as a great spot for a staycation.

Beautiful Spot!

This property is located right on the Potomac river in a private, wooded neighborhood. The house is gorgeous and overlooks the river and the ample deer population. Lots of beds and places for people to hang out. The host is very responsive and makes you feel right at home.

Stars – A Perfect Getaway! (A hidden gem)

We had an amazing stay at this property! The host was incredibly responsive and helpful from start to finish — quickly addressing any issues and even accommodating an early check-in. They went above and beyond by providing a pack and play for our child, which made things so much easier for us.The house itself was beyond comfortable — cozy, clean, and well-equipped for a relaxing stay. The check-out process was seamless, and any minor hiccups (including a booking issue) were handled immediately and professionally by the host.What truly made the experience unforgettable were the peaceful mornings watching deer out the window and magical nights lit up by millions of fireflies. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy this perfect little escape again!

Excellent long weekend on the Potomac

We were a multi-generation family celebrating birthdays and a 60th wedding anniversary over the long Easter weekend. The house was beautiful and the location was very peaceful. Although the house is modern in style, it is also very comfortable. There was plenty of room for the various family groups to spread out. We loved all of the extras that were included - kayaks, paddle boards, life vests, firewood and starter toiletries and coffee. The host was very responsive and easy to work with. We're already talking about a return trip!

Perfect break from the city

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay here! The location was perfect - right by the water with stunning views. The house was clean, well-maintained, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The balcony off the main living space was perfect for enjoying meals with a view, and we loved being able to swim and kayak right from the backyard. Melissa was friendly and responsive, making the whole experience seamless. We can't wait to come back for another relaxing getaway.

Second Christmas and Birthday Celebration

Home is spacious and well located on the property. Second level bedrooms are spacious and have ample storage room. This floor also has 4 bathrooms. A open well positioned kitchen island and long table that comfortably seats 12. Large open living room with comfortable L shaped sofa, pillows and comfort throws. This home helped us enjoy another Christmas with family members and the next day celebrate our son's birthday.

Our family really enjoyed staying at Riverbend. The home was clean, spacious and very comfortable for our large group. The house had great amenities including the well-stocked kitchen with 2 dishwashers, the bedrooms with great beds and bedding, the large living areas upstairs and downstairs and the laundry room with 2 washers and dryers. We also enjoyed the large dining room table that seated all of us comfortably. There were plenty of areas for eveyone to gather or spread out. Our grandchildren also enjoyed the pool and ping pong tables in the cottage next door.One thing to note: the dock was unfortunately destroyed in a severe flood this past May and it hadn't been replaced before our stay. It wasn't a deal breaker, but we were hoping to spend more time by the water with easy access from the dock to the river. It was a bit of a letdown. Hopefully, it gets replaced soon, because it's such a great spot otherwise.We would recommend this house!

An Amazing Getaway!

My group of friends have started to do an annual getaway trip. This location worked best because of the group size we had, as well as its location being a reasonable distance from where we all live. It lived up to our expectations and and then some! The house was very well maintained and clean and everything was pretty well stocked up in the kitchen as well. Everyone who came loved the home and Melissa was an excellent host. She was very responsive and addressed all of my questions with a prompt response, every time. On our 2nd to last day, it snowed a good amount and we were worried about getting out but Melissa even sent out her snow removal company to plow the snow which made everything so much easier. Everyone attending agreed that this home and Melissa were the best location and host we have ever had in all of our experiences with going on these trips. We would definitely come back to this location again and would highly recommend staying here!

Amazing Thanksgiving Stay, Amazing Property, and Amazing Host!

First, Melissa is HANDS DOWN the best host I have ever interacted with across all booking platforms. Her kindness, responsiveness, and flexibility are completely unmatched. Truly a wonderful human being and I would never hesitate to book another one of her properties. Now for the property itself - The house and property is every bit as beautiful as advertised. It is incredibly spacious and accommodating with very modern features (multi-zone heating/cooling, heated floors throughout the main home). We had a very large group and we all had plenty of gathering space as well as areas to retreat for breaks from the family. The outdoor area near the river and the riverfront are amazing. We were there during Thanksgiving, so it was a little too cold to really enjoy the outdoor features, but there was a consensus that it would be fully enjoyed during the summer months! That said, there is a gorgeous firepit near the riverfront pavilion that we all wanted to enjoy, but never got the chance to. The neighborhood is very quiet and is a great place to unwind and relax. The only "issue" we faced, per se, was the guest house/cottage. It is clearly in the process of being upgraded and modernized like the main house, but there were a few bugs that found their way into the lower level. Nothing major, and the upstairs room and kitchen were used with zero problems. Overall, my family and I are hoping to come back very soon! Amazing property!

In 2020, looking for an escape from the city, we found this beautiful property that at the time only had a converted garage on the property. We immediately fell in love, purchased it, and began plans to build Riverbend, which was completed in early 2023.
