My experience staying with Eric, Jana, and their sweet golden retriever Ember was absolutely wonderful. They were the most thoughtful and accommodating hosts — warm, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything I needed. Not only was the space beautiful and comfortable, but I genuinely feel like I left with new friends. Eric and Jana went above and beyond in every way, and Ember brought so much joy and comfort to my stay.I couldn’t recommend their place enough. If you’re looking for a stay filled with great hospitality, kindness, and a real sense of connection, this is the perfect spot. I will absolutely be returning!

I just completed an almost 6-week stay at this property and would highly recommend it. The check-in process was very easy and the apartment was clean, and just as shown in the pictures. Jana & Eric were great hosts! Always available to answer questions and give recommendations in the area, yet they gave complete privacy. The neighborhood was safe and beautiful. Very green & hilly. Great for nature walks. Close to shopping, restaurants and parks. I would absolutely stay again when visiting the area.

Long Island Autumn Retreat

This was our third year staying with Jana and Eric. Being from Arizona we don’t feel the fall weather in October. The suite is beautiful and functional for our month long stay. Jana and Eric always go above and beyond on fall decorating. Very nice touch and much appreciated. The neighborhood is safe and the property is centered on Long Island in Smithtown. The back yard is beautifully maintained with a nice private patio. What we appreciate most is Jana and Eric’s attention to detail and asking how our stay is going. Highly recommend this Long Island property.

Smithtown Retreeat

Quiet, comfortable, parklike setting. Hosts are very pleasant and friendly. Serene location, where you can watch squirrels and rabbits in the backyard.

Great location and nice accommodations

The location of the property is great with dedicated off street parking in a very safe neighborhood. The property has its own private entrance with plenty of space for a single person or couple. The landlords are on site and can respond to any issues or questions. I didn’t have any problems but they did shovel snow off the path for me. They were nice and friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I needed accommodations in the area.

Smithtown Gem

It’s the little things folks……. that make a VRBO experience special. My wife and I are from Arizona and we have relatives who live on Long Island. This is our second year staying with Eric and Jana for the month of October. After a long hot summer in Arizona, Jana wanted to make our fall experience special. She did! We left the 100 degree weather and when we arrived we found seasonal pumpkins and mums outside our exterior patio door. Inside we found miniature pumpkins along with a fall seasonal color arrangement and other seasonal decorations. Not too much but perfect to start our month long adventure. The outside patio and their lush beautiful back yard is very inviting to sit and enjoy an evening cocktail while listening to the birds and watch the leaves fall to the ground. The neighborhood is very safe and near Uncle Giuseppe’s, one of our favorite markets on the island. The full kitchen made it easy for us to eat in when we wanted to. Eric and Jana are the perfect hosts. They have extensive knowledge of the area for questions we had. (Liquor store, deli, train station) Asking many times throughout our stay if we were comfortable in the suite and if we needing anything.

Very comfy one bedroom apartment

Eric & Jana are fabulous hosts. Their apartment is extremely comfortable and it has all the amenities you need. The location is very convenient to major roadways. The landscape around their home is so lovely. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a quiet, comfy place to stay in and around Smithtown. I would definitely stay here again!!

Great Neighborhood Mid Long Island

First time using VRBO. So happy to have our first experience with this lovely 1 bedroom apartment that’s attached to the owners home. Full kitchen and living area. Many properties on Long Island we looked at were basement rentals. This apartment is on the ground floor with plenty of windows for sunshine. Outside the front door was a lush backyard lawn and trees with a table and chairs for enjoying the weather. Great location for traveling east or west on the island with plenty of local shopping. Neighborhood felt very safe. During our 5 week stay the owners were fantastic and very accommodating and occasionally check to see how we were doing. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Love this apartment!

We enjoyed our 44 day stay here, our hosts were so nice, the apartment was perfect for us and the location and property were great. We couldn’t have been happier while we waited to move into our new home.

A Wonderful Home Away from Home

We really enjoyed our stay in this ground level apartment of private home. It had everything we needed to prepare meals, lounge comfortably and sleep well in a safe, beautiful neighborhood. We appreciated the welcoming hosts and hope to return for a future stay. Highly recommend!

Stay for 40 days. During holidayss

This was an amazing safe haven. And has comfort and all you need. We were there to look for a home and for the holidays and for the birth of our grand daughter . Having such a comfortable place amd Eric and Jana are so nice and not imposing but there if you need them. made this venture during the covid 19 epidemic so easy and we felt safe. We will look no further when we return! This is my go to vrbo in ny!

Nice place

This property was very nice, very clean and comfortable. Nice neighborhood with on site parking for 2 vehicles. Very convenient location. Close to shopping, restaurants, and easy access to expressway and parkways. Jana and Eric were very friendly and responsive hosts.

We both grew up in Suffolk County on Long Island. Eric is an IT professional and Jana is a Speech-Language Pathologist . We love animals. We have 1 rescue cat, and 1 Auburn Golden Retriever. We have volunteered at local shelters. We like to travel, ski, golf, exercise, watch movies and spend quality time with friends.

We chose this property for its perfect blend of privacy, easy access to parkways and public transit, and a serene connection to nature. Our backyard is a haven for birdwatching, with species like Cardinals, Robins, Finch, Bob White, Barn Owls, Great Horned Owls, Red-Headed Woodpeckers, and occasional sightings of Ospreys and Red-Tail Hawks. We also enjoy visits from a variety of furry creatures, including a resident rabbit family, foxes, raccoons, opossums, and white-tailed deer.

The local train station is just 10 minutes away, and MacArthur Airport is only 15 minutes by car. The neighborhood is peaceful, safe, and quiet, yet we're just a short distance from bustling towns offering great shopping, dining, and nightlife.
