Absolutely no communication by host & filthy property
My friend and I stayed while attending a nearby convention. The location is centralized and nearby the sights, and there's a great view from the 19th floor.
However, these pros did not outweigh the many cons of this unit, and dealing with the host.
1. Check-in took 30-40 min because the host provided no confirmation details to the front desk.
2. Dirty kitchen, floors and bathroom
3. Roaches were observed in the bathroom, likely entering through the large gaps in the shower tiles of the service panel.
4. No towels were provided per the listing
5. No communication whatsoever was offered from the host on check-in procedures.
6. Wifi doesn't work - the provided network was not available.
7. The floors are damaged and covered with a rug.
8. The TV doesn't work and was propped up with friction instead of using a stand or mount. I didn't want to mess with it in fear of toppling it over.
Overall, we felt completely duped by this host, and even had to go to target to buy towels. I'm suspicious about whether the secondary linens are cleaned as well, so your mileage may vary there. However, I'd definitely pass on Arturo's unit in favor of the many others available in the building.
