2 BR Ocean view condo in town, short walk to the beautiful white sands of Flamingo Beach!



The Space:

Experience total luxury and comfort while surrounded by the tropics at their finest. Absorb world-class Pacific Ocean views from your balcony. Hear the local Howler monkeys as they wind their way through the tropical dry forest surrounding Oceanica. Beautiful Flamingo Beach is only a 2-minute walk--only 150 yards away. The location is ideal--walking distance to many great restaurants, shops, medical services, and banks. This nice rental condo has 2 Bedrooms, and 2 baths and is located 50 minutes from the Liberia International Airport.



This home features one level on the 2nd floor, elevator access, and over 1200 Square feet of living space. The master has a Queen size bed & second bedroom with queen bed. Need a travel crib? No problem! Just reach out our concierge team to arrange one. Keep in mind they are subjected to availability and have an additional charge. This property is professionally decorated and sleeps up to 4 beds plus an additional 2 people with the aerobed/inflatable mattress. There is cable TV, DVD, Internet, A/C, and Phone in the unit. Inside washer/dryer. There is also a gas grill on the balcony to cook your favorite meals.



The house is fully stocked with other bonus items for your personal use, such as beach towels, folding beach chairs, a cooler, and more. We also include complimentary amenities like sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil, shampoo, and soap as a courtesy for your stay.



In order to maintain the security that everyone deserves, it is necessary to present the identification of the person who made the reservation at the time of check-in. We greatly appreciate your support.



The Neighborhood:

Flamingo Beach is a beautiful area with a great white-sand beach as well as a handful of great restaurants and shops. This condo is located just 150 meters uphill from the beach in the downtown Flamingo area. You'll love this property!

There is bus and taxi service available. We can assist with airport transfers, golf cart rentals and rental cars also.

Great stay in Flamingo!

The condo had everything we needed, from washer and dryer to beach chairs. It was very clean and only a short walk to the beautiful Playa Flamingo, shops and restaurants. We can't wait to come back!

Great location. A few minutes walk down the hill to Flamingo Beach. As someone else mentioned, the sunset from the patio is phenomenal. The condo has most everything you need to cook basic meals and comes with most of the necessities (toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, paper towels, laundry detergent, trash bags) to get you started. The only thing missing was hand soap. Also, the condo does not have a dishwasher but there was a sponge and dish soap. The condo was basically clean but could use a deep cleaning to get rid of the mildew in the sinks and showers and clean the dust from the corners of the floor near the walls. Very spacious, not overcrowded with furniture. The beds are comfortable and there are water views from both bedrooms. Condo complex is well maintained and the neighbors were very friendly. The pool is nice and refreshing. It’s a little cold when you first get in in January because the sun is lower in the sky so the building blocks it from hitting the pool. A neighbor told us that the pool warms up in February/March.

We’d like to share that the condo was carefully inspected both before your arrival and after your departure, and on both occasions no mildew or mold was detected. Regarding soap, we do provide hand soap in the bathrooms; however, you are correct that there is currently no hand soap in the kitchen. We will certainly take this into account and add it for future guests, as we agree that small details like this can make a difference. Thank you again for staying with us and for helping us improve. Very nice property in a beautiful location. Checkin process was ok, but could be much better (no one available onsite to cover any issues (small or large)). Lights not on in stairwell, night or day. Drip in 2nd bathroom. Bed mattresses were ok, but given the price of the unit, could be better. Otherwise, loved the unit. Best location in Playa Flamingo

We're sorry to hear about your expectations of having a check-in with someone there in the condo, we actually have this option, but we did not receive any request during the pre-arrival communication, however our staff always assisted you by chat and phone for other questions you had during check in and rest of your stay. Thank you for your comment about the lights. The building has lights enough for all areas and we contacted the Administrator of Common Areas for any additional inspections. We apologize for the drip in the second bathroom, it was fixed during the stay, and it is solved for future clients. This is the first time a guest has sent us feedback about the mattress, we felt sad if you had other preferences. Thanks again for your valuable feedback! Just what we were looking for.

This property is a little older but very well maintained, attractively decorated, comfortably furnished and has nice covered outdoor living space. The views are good and the proximity to the beach and restaurants is hard to beat. The property manager communicated well and was always very prompt with replies. My current pet peeve with properties in Costa Rica is that most higher end units provide multiple flat screen televisions but with all programming in Spanish. It would be nice to have smart tvs (Netflix, Prime) or a couple of American network channels. But this is mostly meant as feedback and not a criticism or deal breaker. In summary, I will pay praise by saying we would stay here again without hesitation.

Great view, close to beach

We had a great stay. One thing that was frustrating, was that driving in, it was hard to find how to get to the condo entry drive and parking lot. The exit is clearly marked off the main road. A steep hill that says no entrance. So we drove around until we finally found it, past the taco joint. Behind some buildings after the paved road ends , left turn that is not marked. Other than that we had a great stay. The view off the balcony is incredible, especially at sunset. Kitchen fully stocked. Bed comfy. Air con works great. Communication wonderful. Easy keyless entry access . Walk to beach. Beach Chairs provided. And towels. Would stay again.

It's all about the view

In my experience, photos of properties often make them look better than they are. Not with this condo. Someone should have included a photo here of the sunset view from the balcony or from the living room looking out through sliding glass doors. The photo here is a good angle, and a great scene, but the sunset view is to the right of this of what’s in this picture and at the other end of the balcony. The view is spectacular. In fact, when I went to the bank in Playa Flamingo (short walk) to exchange some currency, the teller noted which building we were staying in and she mentioned that it is known for the views. I’d be happy to provide some photos for use here of the sunsets from the balcony. We took hundreds, as it just gets better and better over 45 minutes or so. The sunsets are beyond SPECTACULAR. Now for some nuts and bolts. My wife, son and I spent 20 days there in June/July. There were some glitches or small problems, as will happen with any property, especially one 20 or so years old. And Abigail Arias, our contact for questions etc., was available through WhatsApp to get things done. Example: We immediately went out on the balcony upon arrival, and pulling and pushing the patio door open and shut was like pushing a stalled car. Abigail sent a work crew, and, judging from residue, they shaved metal from the bottom track to get it back in line. Ditto for replacing a shower head that dribbled (albeit large globs) water straight down, rather than outward in a, well, a s

Great view

We spent 8 nights in this condo. The sunset from the balconies are hard to beat. The décor was modern and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked well with dishes and pans. They were lacking in mixing bowls and there were no spices (salt and pepper) at all. The internet worked well and was fast. The bed was to firm for us and gave my husband a backache. We had problems with one of the showers. Bluewaters sent someone out very fast to look at it. They got it going but unfortunately the pressure never was good in that shower so we stopped using it. The water pressure is not that great anyway. The electricity went out for short periods of time about half a dozen times but was always restored fairly quickly. The beach is beautiful and just a short walk away but the short walk back is very steep as is walking just about anyplace. This is good exercise but beware during the heat of the day. The surf has a strong undertow and was not good for swimming. We saw whales, rays, dolphins and some other type of large fish. The pool is at the top of the complex. We got more noise from the pool at the neighboring resort than the pool at Oceanica. The pool here was never crowded and shaded as the afternoon went on. There are not a lot of shops, etc close and is more a place to relax, walk the beach and watch sunsets which is what we like. A car is needed to get out and about but they can be rented by the day as we did for exploring. Mateo can organize this and they deliver and pick up the car at the condo.

We don't make a point of furnishing units with spices for our guests. We do, however, keep spices left over from previous guests if there are some. We have since bought mixing bowls. What could go wrong did

It would be nice to have an information sheet available with Wi-Fi password, notice that you only have 1 parking space so if you rent a golf cart you have nowhere to park it. A list of local restaurants and stores woul be helpful. Economy Rentals did not provide us with the car we had reserved until the fourth day so for 3 days we had to walk everywhere. The grill would not get hot enough to seat a steak.

We had a great stay. Only one complaint - inadequate hot water in bathtub and at times in the shower. We did not notify anyone and I don’t know if there is an easy fix... but we chose this condo for the bathtub to help arthritis pain and it didn’t work for this.

Wonderful ending to a great CR trip

Loved our stay at the Oceanica Condo . The location was perfect for our group. The short walk to the beach was well worth the effort (steep hill). Beach towels, chairs and a cooler were available for our use. Bars, restaurants and grocery were close by. We had picture perfect sunset views from the balcony each night. There is a washer and dryer in the unit and plenty of dishes and utensils in the kitchen. Everything we needed was available, including a perfectly serviceable blender. A basket of "goodies" was also provided. The condo pool was relaxing and provided a great view. Enjoyed our stay here.

Very clean condo, with all needed amenities. 1 min walk to a beautiful beach, beach chairs and towels provided. Big bedrooms and closets. Spacey kitchen, lots of utensils, pots and pans, dishes. Dishwasher and dryer. Amazing big balcony with private BBQ and million dollar view of the ocean and beautiful sunsets. parking space always available. Restaurants, pharmacy walking distance. Awesome in all respects

Great location, only steps away from beach, restaurants and grocery store, which made it very easy without a car (and a great leg workout climbing the stairs up to the hill to the condo). Sunsets and view are gorgeous. Very spacious. Very pleased.

Fabulous Vacation Rental

The condo was clean, very conveniently located to Playa Flamingo, and was quite comfortable. The a/c works great in all rooms, and the kitchen is well appointed. You can tell that the owners take pride in their property. We will definitely be returning.

Great condo

The condo was really nice and within walking distance to the beach, we rented a golf cart but we could have done with out it. The condo is well kept and fully stocked, the staff at Blue water was delightful to work with and will definitely come back

Best vacation of 2018

We had a great time while at this condo, the property is nicely furnished and the staff at Blue Water were very helpful. I will definitely be staying with them again.

Great winter break in a fantastic location

We spent 2 great weeks at this condo. It’s a 5mins walk to the beautiful Playa Flamingo (which is unlike most other beaches, it’s a white sand). The condo is part of the Oceanica condo complex; it’s the only building (besides the Flamingo resort) close to the beach. The location was perfect for exploring other beaches such as Brasilito, Conchal, Tamarindo (big town), and Las Catalinas. We thought Conchal and Flamingo were the best. The condo is well equipped and furnished, it’s got everything you need. The balcony overlooks at the beach and ocean with phenomenal sunsets. The complex is very secure with guard at the entrance (condo has a safety box too). The condo is within walking distance to 2 great restaurants: Marie’s and Angelina’s. We alternated between cooking at home and going out. There are also 2 great pizza joints: La Vaca Loka (5min drive) and La Sodita Italiana (10mins drive). All restaurants accept CCs. We took couple of tours via Blue Water Properties (which also manages the condo): coffee/chocolate plantation tour and turtle watch at night. They were both fantastic, very interesting and educational. We rented an SUV for few days each week for sightseeing and driving to grocery stores and few of the farmers markets (didn’t want to drive on the weekends when roads are bit chaotic). There’s a small grocery store within 5mins drive with limited selection (super massai). We drove to Tamarindo to Auto Mercado (similar to supermarkets in US, about 20mins drive) once a week and stock up on few things. There’s a nice farmers market in Potrero (Thursday mornings, it’s 30mins walk or 5mins drive) and Del Mar (just south of Flamingo, 10mins drive). The AC in c do worked perfectly. The condo complex also has a nice pool and a barbecue area (we grilled few nights). All and all we had a great experience. We will probably go back next year.

Really nice place

Popped in to CR for a few days to hang with my brother and his family who rented a house on Playa Flamingo. Found this place on VRBO and was contacted by Bluewater Properties right away. Had difficulty communicating with them at times via email and I'm not sure why, but eventually the paperwork made it's way back and forth and they were great overall. The condo is very nice. Clean and comfy with all the kitchen stuff you could need. I wish there would have been some coffee already there but no biggie...the bar down the street made a great cup. I expected to see bugs in the condo as ants and stuff are everywhere in CR but didn't see one. Had a cocktail on the deck every night and enjoyed the view and the sounds of the ocean. AC works great, water pressure is weak, ice maker was a huge bonus...overall a good value in a sweet location.

Amazing Views

We really enjoyed our stay at this property and would like to come back. This unit is on the 2nd floor, but you're up on a hill so you get an excellent view of the beach and sunsets. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach, but be aware you're on a hill and it's a hike back up. We found the property managers Blue Water to be very responsive. You will pick up (and drop off) the key at the property management office about 15 minutes away. You drive right past it coming from the airport so that's no big deal. Pay attention to the map Blue Water gives you or you might have a tough time finding the entrance to Oceanica. We had most our dinners next door at the resort. It had a 2nd floor bar with a view of the sunsets. It has full menu, or you can head downstairs for the dinner buffet (about $25 USD). We also discovered the bar had 2 for 1 drinks from 5-6pm :-) . The Beach is amazing for walking, I think it's about a half-mile long. We also drove to nearby Playa Conchal (Shell Beach) which had great soft sand. Recommend 4x4 if you're headed there. We would like to come back!

Great Place with Great Views

We stayed here for our honeymoon and so glad we did! This unit has great views of the ocean from living room and bedroom- beautiful sunsets every night. It is within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and stores. The beach is beautiful white sand and clean. The only downside is that its a really hilly area, so ladies leave your heels at home. But we didnt mind, it took the place of working out and made for great views from this unit. Unit has a pool but you can also use the pool at the Marina Resort which is really nice and also has great views of the bay. Mateo was great in setting up all our tours, and transportation-always on time. He will get you anything you need! We highly reccomend staying here.
