The house was great, the neighborhood is good too. You really can walk to where u need. We walk to the bjcc for the concert we cane to see. She has many amenities and the beds were comfortable with extra pillow and slippers(we didn't need them though). We had good cell reception too.

Great place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean, the host was very responsive and helpful, and the listing is super close to the BJCC, which is exactly what we needed! Would definitely stay here again!

A wonderful stay in Birmingham! Everything inside the house was exactly as expected — updated amenities, powerful HVAC, hot water, and even complimentary snacks. Our only snag was that a next-door neighbor has a very loud dog chained up outside who barks at just about everything he sees, so we didn’t kick it on the porch like I was hoping.

Unfortunately the dogs next door barked until 3 in the morning and my girls were awoken by 4 gunshots. I inquired as to the safety of the neighborhood and I was told that there were white people nearby even though that was not a concern or anything I brought up. While I appreciate the proximity to TopGolf, we ended up leaving a day early because we didn’t feel comfortable and we didn’t get much sleep the night before. Safety was definitely a major factor

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. It was very cozy. Nina was amazing. The neighborhood was quiet. It was my birthday weekend and the surprise waiting for me was very special.

Nina was a responsive host. However, the home did not meet expectations. It is in a bad neighborhood- i.e., there are bars on the windows and the house next door was abandoned (broken windows, yard full of trash and junk). This was the general feel of this neighborhood.The bathroom was really dirty. There was a layer of grime/hair on the floorboards. There was also a strange smell in the kitchen.

Great Place!

The place was great! The bed was super comfortable, clean and very easy check-in/check-out process. Love that it was convenient to many things. Thanks for the hospitality, snacks and easy process to check in after an evening flight.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament at the Convention Center. The homes location for the tournament was really good! We walked to the Convention center the first day, about 20 minutes, but drove the other 2 tournament days. Overall, the property was clean and very spacious for our needs. It is an older home with a lot of charm. The host was very responsive with any questions. Check in was a breeze and the beds were incredibly comfortable. If you're a light sleeper, I would recommend to bring ear plugs, as throughout the night there were several barking dogs, airplanes and trains both nights we stayed.The bathroom served our family just fine. We did run out of toilet paper as only one roll was in the home, so we had to purchase more during our stay.Overall, it was a good stay and a great value.

Only issue we had was the keypad to the house battery was dying and it made it hard to get in the house. The host offered to replace the battery unfortunately we weren’t able to be there for that to happen. Overall nice house. It does advertise walking distance to uptown and BJCC but it was actually a mile and half walk.

The keypad battery indicator was already scheduled for replacement, and I appreciate you flagging it so I could address it promptly. The lock remained fully functional, and there are multiple keyless entry points available at the property for added convenience. Regarding walkability, distances can vary depending on pace and destination, but the home is located close to Uptown, City Walk, and Protective Stadium, with walking, scooter, and rideshare options readily available. Hi Gloria. Thank you for the review. To state the home is 20 minutes from any of the listed attractions is untrue. I walk the area often. However I do understand sometime people think walkable means at your doorstep. If it’s less than a 5 minute Uber ride it’s definately walkable. As for the dogs. The dogs mentioned belong to the neighboring home and are fenced in at the very back of the property. They aren’t roaming free nor do they impede and activities of the home or property. I implore anyone renting the home to read all the reviews and look at the map of the home relative to the attractions. Other than the Westin or Sheraton Hotel there are no other properties closer than Finer Rental. Actually the Sheraton is a longer walk to the new Coca Cola amphitheater and uphill.

I love, love, love historical homes and this one was giving...spacious with hardwoods throughout. I appreciate the soft robes and treats for the pets. Neighborhood potential.
