My husband, Dan and I moved to Grants Pass after retiring from the corporate world. We fell "in love" with the charming, "artsy" city . The wonderful climate with all 4 seasons. Autumn is stunning and great walking and bird watching, which I really enjoy. Summers have been warmer than usual, sometimes almost triple digits, still nice though and lots to see and do in the summer, because of all the outdoor concerts, events at the fairgrounds, horse racing, jet boating, wine tasting, hiking, fishing, kayaking, rafting, cinemas, live theatre, shopping, sightseeing etc. Spring is lovely everywhere as all the flowers and plants are blooming. You can find more events going on in Grants Pass by going to the Chamber of Commerce website www. or The cottages (2) are located next door to RCCollege and close to Horizon Village adult Community. RC College has won awards for their plant diversity and it is very nice to walk thru and take pictures, or sit and read. Winter time brings snow but not everyday and usually does not stay long. We enjoy it when it comes though especially at the holidays. Seven Feathers Casino is a 45 minute drive North and is a fun time to gamble and enjoy a fantastic meal at the famous K Bar restaurant. They have celebrity entertainers that perform in the lounge. You need to make reservations. They do offer bussing there from Fred Meyers Grocery on 199 Highway. Locally and close to the cottages there are wonderful restaurants, from pizza to gourmet dining. The Rivers Edge restaurant ( wonderful dining ) is right on the river and only a 5 minute drive from the cottages.
