Welcome to our bright studio apartment, only 3 blocks from the center of Black Mountain on the northern edge of the Dougherty Heights Historic District. This large detached above-garage studio is across the deck from our shaded 1924 home just off Montreat Rd.
King-size bed, sitting area, dining area, & kitchenette. The studio is detached from the main house above the garage; outside you have your own deck space & access to the hot tub! Our pup will greet you in the yard on arrival but is never allowed in the guests' living space. We are powered by solar panels with backup battery in case of power outages.
Hot tub, Roku TV with access to Netflix & YouTube TV for local stations & sports, deck overlooking our garden with access to whatever vegetables happen to be growing during your visit.

We live in a quiet historic neighborhood only 3 blocks to the main intersection in downtown Black Mountain, 2 blocks to Black Mountain Yoga, 1 block to the seasonal Saturday Farmers Market (May - Oct), & a few sidewalk-lined blocks to the Lake Tomahawk Park with public pool, lake path, playground, & golf course. This studio is 2.5 miles from Montreat & great hiking, & only 15 minutes to downtown Asheville & the Biltmore Estate. Easy drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, UNCA & Warren Wilson College, & fabulous hiking & mountain biking. Walk easily to all the unique restaurants & shops of Black Mountain!
