I stayed at the Grambel house for my 60th birthday with 6 of my friends and it was absolutely wonderful!! We all agreed that it was the most impeccable property we had ever stayed at and we all travel quite a bit and have stayed in many rental properties! The house was exactly as pictured on the website; it was spotless and so well appointed! Michelle made sure everything was perfect and was so responsive throughout our stay. She gave us great recommendations for places to eat in town, activities and put us in touch with a private chef and someone to do a private sound therapy session! The house is filled with so many fun things to do you really never have to leave though. The game room is so cute and loaded with fun things to do! The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and all of the drawers are even labeled with pictures so you don’t have to open every drawer or cabinet to find what you’re looking for! The hot tub and sauna are great and very easy to use and the grounds are beautiful!! The house is only a short 5-10 minute drive to town so close enough but still feels like you’re miles away from anything because it’s quiet and in a private lot surrounded by trees and on a ravine. Do not hesitate for a moment to rent this property!!!

Absolutely amazing property with great amenities! Seamless from start to finish, our communication with the host and the check in process was so easy. The hot tub and game room were a big hit with our kids and the outdoor space and giant family room/kitchen allowed us to gather with stunning views of the backyard. We will certainly be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The home was very spacious while still offering plenty of privacy, making it a comfortable place to relax and unwind. It was exceptionally well-equipped with everything needed for cooking, baking, and serving meals, which made it feel more like a home than a typical rental. The location was another big plus—close enough to be just a short 10-minute drive from town, yet far enough away to provide a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of busy Saugatuck. The property was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished. In fact, my wife has already asked if we can book the same property again for a future visit, which is probably the highest compliment we can give. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

We're Johnny and Michelle. After years of visiting Saugatuck, we fell in love with its natural beauty and slower pace of life. We built Black Barn Ridge as the place where we would raise our family—surrounded by towering trees, peaceful woodlands, and the everyday magic that comes with living in nature.

As the owners and stewards of this land, we've thoughtfully designed every home with the same care, comfort, and attention to detail we value when traveling ourselves. It is our hope that your time here offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and create meaningful memories with the people you love.

We're honored to share Black Barn Ridge with you and hope it becomes a place you'll return to for years to come.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

Black Barn Ridge is more than a collection of luxury homes—it's a private woodland destination created for slowing down, reconnecting, and experiencing the restorative power of nature.

Nestled within 20 acres of peaceful forest, each home enjoys its own private homesite surrounded by towering trees, creating a sense of privacy while remaining connected to the larger Black Barn Ridge experience. We carefully designed the property to work in harmony with the natural landscape, preserving as many mature trees as possible and creating spaces where guests can truly immerse themselves in the beauty of the woods.

Beyond your private backyard, Black Barn Ridge invites you to explore thoughtfully designed outdoor gathering spaces shared by all three homes. Spend an afternoon playing bocce at Meadow Court, begin your morning with yoga or quiet reflection at Woodland Terrace, or wander the woodland trails to Ravine Landing, where fairy gardens, native wildlife, and a peaceful overlook encourage you to slow down and reconnect with nature.

Throughout your stay, you'll likely spot deer, wild turkeys, hawks, foxes, eagles, and other native wildlife that call these woods home.

Despite feeling worlds away, Black Barn Ridge is just five minutes from downtown Saugatuck, offering the perfect balance of peaceful seclusion and easy access to award-winning restaurants, boutiques, galleries, beaches, and everything the area has to offer.

Whether you're gathering around the fire, soaking beneath the stars, exploring the trails, or simply enjoying the quiet of the forest, our hope is that you'll leave Black Barn Ridge feeling more rested, more connected, and inspired to return.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Tucked among towering trees on 2-acres, The Gambrel invites you to embrace the quieter seasons. Wander woodland trails blanketed in autumn leaves or fresh snow, restore body and mind in the sauna, soak beneath a sky full of stars, and gather around the fire after a day exploring Saugatuck. This is luxury rooted in nature—where crisp mornings, cozy evenings, and unforgettable moments become part of every stay.

Be sure to explore our sister stays, The Dutch and The Gable.
