Very basic but clean and comfortable beds. A little cramped but if you just need a place to sleep and be a close walk to everything it works well!

I was disappointed that we were on the 2nd floor. The room (traffic, floors) was noisy. But, it was clean and comfortable.

A good place to lay your head, unless you don’t want to look at the duct tape across the window , small showers. Great water pressure. Broken sofa arms, broken bar chairs, and the missing shower baseboard. Only stayed one night. Host did allow for early check-in.

Had a hard time with the TV. One remote had no battery. Info on how to navigate would be helpful. Also, no wash clothes for dishes and in baths? Brought my own! Sponge in sink was gross!

Clean room with good communication. Reasonable price for Lake Placid and very walkable from this location. Location is very good. Parking is reasonable. Good place for a no frills stay with good beds / bedding. Cons: Bathrooms / showers are small with significant water spray outside of the shower. Some issues with hot water in the second shower and the remodeling work was only Ok to update the place.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We are so glad you found the space clean, comfortable, and a great value for the unbeatable walkability in Lake Placid. Thank you also for the detailed notes on the bathrooms—I apologize for the hot water hiccup in the second shower and the water spray. We've already had our maintenance team look into the shower hot water, and we're looking at ways to improve the splash containment and cosmetic finishes. We'd love to host you again for another easy, no-frills stay!

All the other reviews were spot on, so we got what we expected. Clean beds and hot showers, which was what was needed after a long day of hiking. Could be cleaner.

This property is truly within walking distance to everything Lake Placid. The rooms were clean, the kitchen compact without being too small. The water pressure is impressive. We will stay here again the next time we visit Lake Placid.

I had a really bad experience with this place. I booked it for Memorial Day weekend. the building is not well insulated at all. Every time people walked in the apartment above us, it felt like an earthquake because of how loud the noise was.On Saturday night, there were young people on the third floor playing loud music, screaming and jumping.I couldn’t sleep until after midnight. I eventually had to call the police because of the noise.I would not recommend this place for families or anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing stay.

Thank you for your feedback. We are incredibly sorry that your Memorial Day weekend stay was disrupted by the noise from neighboring guests. Holiday weekends in the heart of town can unfortunately bring louder crowds, but we have a strict quiet-hours policy and zero tolerance for disruptive behavior. Had we been notified that night, we would have immediately stepped in to address the third-floor guests directly. We are a family-friendly property and truly regret that this isolated holiday incident impacted your peace. We are using your feedback to review how we can better monitor noise levels during high-occupancy weekends

Property was convenient to everything and was very spacious compared to a hotel room. Parking was interesting as there were some tight spots if all apartments were rented and driving a truck or full size SUV. Apartment was older and worn but it was clean. Bathrooms were tight and water went all over the floor when taking a shower. Window air conditioner in every room so stayed very cool in July.

The location of this property is perfect. It's only a 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minutes to downtown. There was one issue but the host did their best to fix it in a timely manner. The property is not as spotless as the pictures. It is an older building, so things are just a bit worn down compared to the pictures. But the beds are comfortable and each room has an air conditioner, so it fulfilled our needs.
