Welcome to Tallen’s Stuga – Cabin of the Pines, a newly built luxury Scandinavian retreat tucked among the pines along the rugged shores of Lake Superior. Set on one private lakefront acre, this thoughtfully designed cabin blends modern Nordic style, peaceful surroundings, and easy access to the best of Minnesota’s North Shore.

Air Conditioning: The cabin does not have A/C. Its Lake Superior setting provides cool lake breezes and natural cross-ventilation, though indoor temperatures may vary during warmer weather.

Pets: Pets are not permitted—no exceptions.

Families: Each bedroom has direct walkout access to the outdoors. Guests traveling with young children should provide appropriate supervision at all times.

Check-In: Self check-in directly at the cabin. Your door code and arrival instructions will be provided approximately 48 hours before check-in.

Important Information

Rental Agreement: A short registration form must be completed after booking and before check-in details are released.

Cancellation Fee: A 3% cancellation fee applies to all cancellations.

Weather: Refunds or partial refunds are not provided for weather, environmental, air-quality, or related travel disruptions, including snowstorms, icy roads, wildfire smoke, late arrivals, or early departures. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

The Tallens Staga is a beautifully designed, decorated and maintained property. The views from every room (except of course the bathrooms) are spectacular. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook, and there is a nice Weber grill on the back deck. Tasteful local artwork adorns the walls, and fun games and books are thoughtfully placed throughout. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. The grounds themselves and access to the shoreline are fantastic. We loved our time here and look forward to returning.
