A "Bear-y" Picture-perfect Getaway

The pictures do not serve justice to how beautiful this property and location is in reality. From watching the sunrise on the back patio to watching the black bears amble across the road...yes! we were lucky enough to have a couple of sightings...We could not have asked for a better vacation. Everything you might want is featured in this cabin including the views, family game night central, the fireplace, lush carpeting, and a peaceful night's rest. The hot tube was a wonderful to relax in after trekking across Ober Mountain and walking the streets of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The location of the cabin puts visitors in the middle of the these 2 great cities with an easy drive to either location. You simply cannot go wrong staying here. 5 stars all the way and 2 huge thumbs up.

We loved our stay in the Chalet Villages. It was a perfect location, with beautiful scenery all around! We would definitely recommend and come back!

We lived our stay!

I have stayed in many cabins and this one has to be one of my favorites. Great view, especially if the leaves are falling or gone, and everything inside is very nice and updated. We enjoyed the over gatlinburg tram going by as well! Very close to downtown or the pass through to get to PF. Would recommend!

Absolutely PERFECT !

Secluded YET only 5 min down the hill to downtown Gatlinburg . Cabin was Clean and felt very up to date . from the flat screen tvs in every room to the appliances . plenty of board games in your game room . and the property manager and cleaning crew ( who got us in a lil early ) couldn't have been Nicer n easier to deal with . . we had a fantastic weekend and would definitely stay here AGAIN!

Bears Bears Bears

As advertised this property was a beautiful setting with no lack of bears. As we parked and entered the cabin, a cub went ambling down the road and we were able to see two playing in a tree from the deck the next morning. The cabin itself was fantastic with two great bedrooms, fantastic pool table downstairs and a beautiful view from the hot tub. Super close to downtown Gatlinburg and the park entrance it was a great place to come back to after a day of being a tourist. Our only complaint and its minor at that was the little tiny soaps and skimpy towels but that is minor compared to how great everything else was. Would definitely recommend it to folks.

Property has a great view, probably even better in the fall when the leaves and greenery fall. Very nice location. The place could use a deep cleaning but overall pretty clean. The porch lights didn’t work which was scary coming back in the dark as we seen bears 3 different times in the area. Definitely bummed that it did not have a grill. The property manager should definitely re-think that choice. People love staying in the mountains and being able to grill on the deck. Most every cabin/chalet I’ve stayed in has always had a grill. I’m sure not having one would deter vacationers from renting this cabin. Overall I would stay in this area/cabin again. Just please fix the porch lights and get a grill 😁

Great for 2 couples.

My husband and I met up with my brother and sister-in-law. This was the perfect cabin, the 2 master bedrooms, we loved the pool table and hot tub. Very clean and not one problem the whole time we was there. Very peaceful. Would go back any time. Loved it.

Great Place!

This place was awesome with a beautiful view. The owner was very responsive and kept us up to date on the check in process. The house was very clean and we enjoyed the hot tub. We saw lots of bears with their cubs which was so exciting. I would recommend this property. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

Worst vacation rental EVER

We asked for a refund our first night there and was told no. The reason we asked was because there was continuous noise coming from a locked room in the bedroom we were staying in. It was behind the jacuzzi tub. We were told to "sleep upstairs in the other room." The noise could be heard through the floor AND they didn't have any shades on the top windows so we had to deal with noise and light. He supposedly sent his cleaning guy out while we were gone and of course, he found nothing. So, next night? Same exact noise! Complained again, this time he said he'd send out a plumber, then it was "I'll send it Roto-Rooter" which he didn't. We finally figured out, on our own, that the noise was coming from behind the jacuzzi tub. We literally had to run the water to stop the noise. Imagine how much fun that was! We took video and sent it and he all but called us liars, said he rented it out to 45 people and there was never an issue before. I told him there was an issue now and we had proof. The entire time we were there he promised to fix it and did not until days after we had checked out and were back home. Not once did he offer any restitution! He finally agreed to give us 100.00 refund after telling us we were owed nothing more because we stayed the duration! WE TOLD HIM THE FIRST NIGHT WE WANTED A REFUND SO WE COULD GET DIFFERENT ACCOMMODATIONS AND HE REFUSED!!! I guess he thought we were made of money so we could just leave and "hope" he'd give us our money back. To top it off, he lives in South Carolina and of the 3 contact numbers they list, one is disconnected and the other is to his cleaning guy that lives 2 hours away! NEVER AGAIN!! Oh, and that "Panaramic" view is half covered in trees and you can't see and there is zero privacy in the hot tub, no shades, no curtains. Wide open so the neighbors and the tram can see you just fine. It definitely was not worth the money, nor the stress.

Clean and a nice place. Would have gave it 5 star only didnt because no grill or rocking chairs out on deck. But other then that it was a great house to stay at for the money. Would definitely come back agian!

Wonderful view

We've stayed at this house many times over the years. We love the view, the house, the parking and the fact that there aren't a huge amount of stair steps outside and inside of the house. Although it wasn't hot out this time of the year, the house was stuffy enough to have the AC on one or two nights. There was an issue with it cooling. I contacted the owner via email around 10 pm. I didn't expect anyone to answer back that late. But the next morning he had responded and while we were out for breakfast someone had been sent to the house. It was a wire that an animal has probably chewed on. Everything was great. Thank you so much. We will back.

The cabin was very nice, location was amazing. Just down the mountain to Gatlinburg but you still felt very secluded. The obvious bests part for us was the hot tub and Mountain View’s. The tram going by was so cool Also! The sky’s were so dark even at half moon we could see tons of stars. What a wonderful time we had. Thank you!

Clean, as described, great location

We enjoyed our weekend stay. The house was clean and had just about everything we needed (if you're going to cook in kitchen, bring your own spices as the pantry only had salt and pepper). We enjoyed the fireplace, whirlpool tub, and (of course) the hot tub. The view of the mountains was beautiful.

The BEST Vacation

This was our first vacation away from our kids and this was THE BEST place to have lived at for a week. The house is close to several hiking trails and downtown Gatlinburg. The balconies from this home show a breathtaking view of the mountains and the Tramway goes right by the house; it was really neat to watch! The property is very well maintained and the Hux cleaning crew keep it looking awesome! My favorite part of the property, other than the views, was the hot tub! It was awesome to go hiking all day and come back to rest your muscles with the jets! The only downside to this property was the beds. For most people, the beds wouldn’t be an issue; I thought they were extremely comfortable! However, my husband has had several back surgeries and both the beds are SUPER soft so he actually ended up sleeping on the floor most nights. Oh, and also, when they say you’re in bear country, they really mean it. Be cautious when going outside at night anywhere on the mountains. Overall, this was the best vacation we’ve ever taken and we will be booking this property again!

Beautiful views, beautiful cabin

Wonderful accommodations. Accessing this cabin was great, especially the flat, level parking spot! Two awesome decks off the back of the house with gorgeous views and a great hot tub. Set up with two master style bedrooms and tons of space. Couldn't have been happier! Would book again!

Stunning mountain view!

The property was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We got to the cabin about 3:45 p.m. and spent several minutes trying to get in before calling the property manager, who answered right away and explained to us that our door code wouldn't work before check in time at 4:00, but he very graciously gave us a passcode that would work right then. The views from either deck are amazing and we spent hours sitting on the deck, watching the ever-changing mountain landscape and being fascinated by the Ober Gatlinburg sky trams passing right outside the cabin. Beautiful property with tons of amenities: darts, pool table, board games, huge jetted tubs in the bedrooms and a huge hot tub on the very private deck. Close enough to Gatlinburg to be convenient but it feels like it's on the mountain by itself. Loved our stay there!

Felt just like home!!!!

Our family of four had a wonderful time!! This place was so beautiful, very clean, cumfy beds and a beautiful view!!! Very convenient to downtown Gatlinburg. Only negative for me is I get very car sick and it was a good 10 minute drive up the curvy mountain but the view and home made it worth it!! We will be back!!

Wonderful getaway

Loved the cabin... VERY CLEAN and a WONDERFUL view. Had one issue with the air and it was fixed with then hour, owners were right on it and even sent a I'm sorry gift for our inconvenience. I have stayed in several places in Gatlinburg with no issues and i will add this Owner to my list to stay at again.

Great place for a getaway!

The setup at the cabin was perfect for our weekend away with another couple. The seperate bedrooms with attached bathrooms provided privacy and the communal space was ideal for dinners together and card games. The two balconies had a beautiful view and we even saw multiple bears! Definitely recommend this spot.
