The large windows bring in wonderful natural light, but curtains and blinds allow for privacy when desired. Set up with all you need for a quick overnight stay, or a longer term need, you will find all the comforts of home. The living room features a 50" Smart TV, an assortment of games, books, magazines, lift top coffee table, sofa, and recliner. The kitchen features a range, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and Keurig. You will also find the dishes, pans, utensils, flour, sugar, and basic spices needed to prepare food for a quiet night in. There is filtered water in the fridge, pods for the Keurig, creamer/sugar, and an assortment of snacks available as well.
A favorite feature is the fenced back yard, accessible only to tenants/guests of the building. Here you will find the beautiful paver patio and fire pit, swings, outdoor toys, and patio furniture. A great place bring your children or dog, or just relax.

Built in 1904, this grand building was originally 8 flats. It was reconfigured in the 50's and 60's and is now 18 apartments. I purchased the building in 2018 and began renovation of the fully outdated and poorly maintained building, which I renamed "Ad Astra Place Apartments" after the Kansas state motto, "Ad Astra, Per Aspera", or "To the Stars Through Difficulty."
I have 3 short term rental units, all of which are on the 2nd floor of the North hallway (the building has both a North and South hallway.)
As a dog lover and rescuer, I made my building dog friendly and have fenced in the back yard to provide a place for our furry friends to stretch their legs leash free.
All 3 short term rental units at Ad Astra are located on the 2nd floor of the building, accessible by stairs. Assistance with luggage is available upon request.
Guests have the entire rental unit to themselves. This unit has a back door which opens up onto the 35' x 18' covered deck. The deck steps take you down directly into the back yard, which is private and shared only with tenants. Guests are welcome to use the patio, firepit, swings, and any of the other amenities in the back yard.
Additionally, in the back yard guests have access to the coin operated laundry room (which can also be operated utilizing the PayRange app, no quarters needed!) Your key card provides you with access to the laundry room in addition to the front door of the building and the apartment.
