Daniele and Hannah were very gracious and accommodating throughout with any requests and even extending our stay. The home offered some privacy and convenience with its close proximity to the beaches. We will book again!

I think it’s awful to be asked to wash towels and strip beds before leaving. Seriously my family and I are on vacation and the price per day was costly enough and should not be expected to do these chores. Also, without a dishwasher it was disappointing to have to wash all items by hand including dishes and other kitchen items that I had to wash before I used them since most were not cleaned well and put away. Quite repulsive to find such things filthy

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly appreciate hearing about our guests' experiences. We understand that everyone's expectations for vacation are different. We do ask guests to strip the used bed linens and start one load of towels prior to departure as a small way to assist our housekeeping team in preparing the home for incoming guests, especially during our busy turnover days. We certainly don't expect guests to complete the cleaning of the home. Regarding the kitchen, the listing does note that the home is not equipped with a dishwasher, so handwashing dishes is unfortunately part of staying at this particular property. We do ask guests to wash the dishes they use before checking out. That said, we're very sorry to hear that you found some kitchen items that had not been cleaned properly prior to your arrival. That certainly does not meet the standards we strive for, and we will be sharing this feedback with our housekeeping team so they can pay closer attention to inspecting kitchen items before future arrivals. Thank you again for your feedback. It helps us continue improving the experience for future guests.

Wonderful Weekend Away!

A- Frame of mind was just what we needed. The house is so cute, clean, and comes with everything you need. Just minutes to the beach but far enough away that you feel like you are in the woods. The Hot Tub was amazing! Already can't wait to return.

Charming and Close to Everything!

We had a fantastic stay at A-Frame of mind this winter. The property was very clean and the hosts were responsive to any questions. There was a list of recommendations that were very useful and the hot tub was such a great feature (especially in the winter)! We also brought our pup along as the home is dog friendly. The house has lots of privacy but was still close to everything, we could probably ride a bike to the beach but breweries, restaurants, beaches are all about 5 minutes away and Kennebunkport just a little further for Xmas Prelude. Overall would recommend and definitely stay here again.

A-Frame of Mind is a pet-friendly home that many families and guests with dogs have truly enjoyed, and we love being able to offer a unique and cozy space for everyone to experience York, Maine together. As shown in our listing photos, the home features a spiral staircase leading to the upper level, which adds to the charm and character of the property. While many pets do well in the home, we understand that staircases like this may not be the best fit for every dog depending on their age, size, or mobility. We always aim to represent our homes as accurately as possible so guests can choose the property that best fits their needs. We appreciate you staying with us and sharing your experience!

The house was very nice. Had a little complications with the key to the hot tub on the first day. The mattresses were definitely on the hard side. Outside trash bins were not emptied before we arrived. Photos on the app make it seem like you are secluded but there is a house next door that can look directly into the house through the glass window wall. Other than that it was a nice place.

We know that’s the last thing you want to deal with when you’re settling in. We’ll also make a note on our end to help make that information easier to spot for future guests - not just in the liability waiver signed beforehand! Thank you as well for the notes on the mattresses and the trash bins. We’ll absolutely pass the mattress feedback along to the homeowners, and we’re sorry the outdoor bins weren’t emptied prior to your arrival - off season pick up is scattered throughout the weeks, so we will be sure to address this in the future! During our peak season, private trash pick-up, in addition to town pick up, is scheduled every Friday. And we appreciate you mentioning the privacy concern! The listing photos were taken in the summer when the trees are fully leafed out, and in the winter the view can feel a bit more open — we understand how that could be surprising if you were expecting more seclusion. FANTASTIC GETAWAY!

Our stay at A-Frame of Mind was absolutely perfect. The home is beautifully designed — a modern A-frame that feels both stylish and cozy — with thoughtful touches in every detail. Everything was spotless when we arrived, and the furnishings and décor made it feel like a true retreat. The location in York couldn’t be better: close enough to enjoy the beach, restaurants, and shops, but tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. We especially loved the hot tub, big windows, deck, and privacy, which made evenings unforgettable. The hosts were fantastic — quick to communicate, welcoming, and clearly care about making guests feel at home. From the little extras to the ease of check-in, everything was seamless. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a special getaway in York.

A lovely weekend away!

My husband and I were looking for a cozy place to stay for a long weekend. We wanted something set back from a main road with off street parking, dog friendly for our leash-reactive pup, easy access into town/sightseeing/ shops, and with some space between the home and its neighbors. A-Frame Of Mind suited our needs perfectly! We loved the design and vibes of this house. While the shower was on the smaller side, it didn’t bother us … plus the water pressure was fabulous! The owners provided a small toiletries kit as well as provisions, and thank you also for the Maine-themed treats that you left us! That was very kind. We would agree with other reviewers that the mattress was firm - as was the couch, but that could be personal preference and/or new furniture! Our only other bugaboo was with the electronic lock to the main house. Perhaps it was user error, but my husband and I both tried to unlock the main house door on arrival and it wouldn’t open with the code provided- effectively locking us out. Very luckily, the slider door was left open (not sure by who), so we were still able to get into the house. As an aside, the code and lock did work for the guest bunkhouse without issues. After exchanging messages with Daniele, she arranged for maintenance to come the next morning and reset the main door lock. Once reset, the lock worked perfectly and we were able to relax for the rest of the trip. Thanks for a great stay!

Dream vacation house. Everything was perfect! Very cool area with so many places to explore and see. Hosts were great! Hot tub was very clean and fun! Beds were extremely cozy. I slept so good every night. We will definitely be coming back.

As advertised. Very clean & very comfortable. Communication with the owners was excellent.The location is very good. Not right on the beach but close enough for a short drive or walk. Just enough buffer to escape summer crowds.I’d stay again.
