Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Expected to have kitchen with basic spices other than salt and pepper, as well as shampoo and conditioner. Balcony furniture rusty and cushions somewhat dirty. Some of the towels smelled moldy and could not be used. Area was beautiful and very quiet.

Would however like to mention the toilet in master, (only one I used) was not clean around and certainly not under the top of toilet bowl. The underneath part of rim was a bit gross. I cleaned it. Lights outside patio did it seem to work.

Located inside the Truman Annex and right behind the Truman White house. Everything you want to see is within walking distance. The condo has a balcony overlooking the ocean, captivating sunsets, although partially impeded by palm trees. Overall a great condo for a Key West trip.

Nice place. Desperately needs a renovation though

A Room With A View

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This room was an upgrade, as our original reservation was no longer available. The most noticeable difference was the outstanding view. There was balcony furniture to enjoy, but needed an umbrella. The unit was spacious with three bathrooms which was convenient for our group. The internet did not work (which was not a huge deal) but was annoying. Property management tried to amend without success. The blinds should all be replaced, but the unit was very clean. The location in Truman Annex was perfect. The grounds are well maintained, and we pretty much had pool to ourselves. We also had our own parking spot which was very useful to us. If the internet were functioning, would stay there again.

A little dated but had everything you needed for the week long stay. The customer service was friendly and very helpful. Our flight was canceled at last minute and we were given a little extra time as we tried to get another flight. Would definitely recommend the place and location. Truman Annex is a great spot in Key West- you get the best of both worlds- beautiful quiet in Truman Annex and fun time walking around Duval St and area

Oceanview condo Truman

Bed extremely uncomfortable (especially the two twin beds in the 2nd bedroom which was listed as a queen bed). Toilets often did not flush. Check in was easy with no issues. The condo is spacious and well stocked with kitchen supplies for making meals. The following items need work:1. The carpets are dirty2. The towel racks in the bathroom next to the entrance keep falling off 3. The patio door in the master bedroom sticks and we had many issues trying to close it4. Many of the blinds are broken and can’t open/close or are missing sections5. Light switches are not labeled. 6. The tv in the second bedroom didn’t work 7. The sharp knives were all as dull 8. The umbrella stand is broken. It doesn’t stay up right. For as much as we paid for this rental I would expect much better quality and attention to detail.

Harbour Point condos with water view our fav.Paradise on the Ocean unit needs renovations. Ceiling fan noisy, electrical outlets falling out of walls, locks on doors not easy to unlock, bathroom fixtures falling off walls. View blocked by large palm trees. TV difficult to work and no instructions. All our other vaca rentals in past years with compass the units have been perfect. condition.

The deck furniture was something different than the pics showed. The umbrella on the deck didn't work and we tried several times to 'bring it down' and could not get it to work. We lost water 1 day but Compass took care of that on our end. The location in the Truman Annex was perfect! Overall it was a good experience.

Amazing Place

This property is in the perfect spot. Would definitely want to rent this place again. It was super spacious, the view was amazing and it is in a quiet location in old town which is not easy to find!!

Our Week in Key West

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Truman Annex unit. The location on the water was superb - sunset views and all the boats going in and out of the harbor! Just a short walk to Mallory Square and Duval Street, with their interesting shops, great restaurants and “watering holes”.

Condo needs TLC

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo needs a lot of TLC, after getting there and seeing it in person I think the owners charged too much. In the kitchen the stove is outdated, in the dining room the table and chairs look like they came from Goodwill, in the great room the tv is not hi-def, the couch and two chairs are real worn, in the master bath the towel was falling off the wall, in the whole house there were no clocks, in master bedroom no dresser drawers, master bathroom needs new shower head. Great location but the owners need to upgrade. We will come back to the area but not to this condo.

Wonderful unit in a great complex!

The Pros: We loved this property. The location in Truman Annex is perfect - the view from the balcony and all the bedrooms was beautiful and fascinating. So much to see. And it's an easy walk to most everything. The pool is lovely though it could use some umbrellas. They were shown in pictures of the complex but there were not there. The unit was very, very clean and well appointed. The Cons: The Truman Annex check in system is antiquated. You have to go to the guard shack to register your car and it's laborious and annoying and sometimes the guard isn't even there. Then you have to go to the office to get keys from a lock box. There is little information in the unit on how to operate things so it's trial and error. Compass Realty, who managed this property, was terrible to work with when we tried to rebook for next year. They said this property is not available and they made no effort to find us another. We went to another realtor and found a great place. Compass's loss by being unhelpful!

So much to see and so easy to walk to everything. Unfortunately, Compass was not helpful when we tried to book for next year so they lost our business.

Great location, property needs updating

Can't beat the location. The Truman Annex is in a gated community on the water but only two blocks from Duval and Malory Square. The property itself needs updating. Windows are broken, holes in the screens and the freezer needs a good cleaning (ice smells like fish). Furniture and appointments are worn. We paid top dollar and did not feel the home stepped up to the price.
