My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Quiet neighborhood, home is exactly as it appears, very comfortable, clean, and all amenities as promised. Had a question for our host and he got back to me in 10 minutes! We were 10 to 15 minutes from beach and went everyday! We definitely would stay again and would recommend it!

The home had spider webs and ants all around. We requested a refund and were told the ants are a “minor issue”. Not suitable for families or anyone looking for a higher quality level of home. The home had too many air fresheners, leaving a strong smell. As well as pest control ultrasonic plug in leaving a high pitched sound. We ended up cancelling this stay and do not recommend!

The house was beautiful and had nice outdoor seating. The rooms and living spaces were comfortable and it was pretty close to downtown. There were a some sugar ants congregating in some corners, but I brought it to the hosts attention and she said she'd handle it! She was very responsive and polite. Thanks for the great stay!

We stayed at this property from Saturday to Wednesday and, unfortunately, were very disappointed with our experience.The biggest issue was the condition of the yard. The backyard was completely torn up, with piles of mulch scattered throughout and very high weeds. The back gate also did not latch properly, which led to our dog getting out—this was especially concerning since the property is advertised as pet-friendly. The front yard was in similar condition, and when we arrived, there were workers actively doing landscaping with mulch piled everywhere.Additionally, workers came back during our stay to continue working on the property. While they did leave when I asked, it was uncomfortable and not something we expected during a rental stay.Inside the home, there were no instructions for using the thermostat. During a stretch of very cold weather, this made it difficult to keep the house warm and added to our frustration.Given the amount we spent, this experience was extremely frustrating. Unfortunately, due to these issues, we would not rent from these owners again. We hope these concerns are addressed for future guests.

This property has been modestly updated in it's interior, but the outside landscaping is in desperate need of attention. We couldn't enjoy the backyard at all through our stay due to so much overgrowth & lack of attention to make the backyard look presentable. Host provided some seating & a log firebit but no logs & at night majority of the grounds are pitch dark. The location of the house is close to downtown & Siesta Key & the neighbor's are all super quite...which is fantastic! On the downside, most of the homes in this area are old & in need of TLC. Property is dog friendly with enclosed backyard which is a plus, but again we could not allow our dogs to wonder around due to so much overgrowth...not sure what they would end up encountering. Host was pleasant & home did provide the bare necessities & it was clean & we felt safe. Unfortunately, host is not available after 10pm. We had advised host we were arriving between 8pm & 10pm. When we arrived & wanted to take a shower & turn the heat on (Florida was in its 30' & low 40's for the first 2 days of arrival), the shower wouldn't get hot & we couldn't figure how to set thermostat. Host never answered calls or texts until the next morning. Property has a problem with ants, but it looks like host has had some type of treatment as you will find them dead all over the baseboard edges of the house. Overall, if non of the issues I mentioned inconvenience you, then this is a safe place to stay. Nevertheless, we thank the host.
