Great place to stay

This was a great place to stay. The property was so convenient to the beach which was awesome. Loved the pool right by the beach as well. Only improvement I could suggest is adding beach towels to the property and a railing to the top bunk. I had kids worried about rolling off and the kids railing that was in the closet was broken

The location was great, no issues with parking, closer to the beach than the other tennis villas. The condo was clean. Appreciated how well stocked it was with cooking supplies, linens, toilet paper. There was some toiletries and we used the mats that were folded up under the wall beds. There were extra pillows and blankets, a beach chair and some beach things that we didn't use but appreciated the availability.Condo rules were appropriate. For the resort area: Love the brushes by the building entrances to wipe off sand from your feet/shoesgated area so security wasn't a concern. If you want delivery, the security will call the phone in the condo. we went to the restaurant for bingo night one night and the kids meal chicken tenders were surprisingly very good! The pools were too cold, even though the sun was out. Wish the facility had a hot tub or somewhat heated/temperature controlled pools.

Perfect location

Was exactly what we expected for the price, nice resort, lots of things to do. By no means was the ritz carlton but was definitely worth the price. Will rent again

Mom, and kid get away

Awful. Space, cleanliness, nothing to do that wasn't out of season. Resort food was awful with the exception of the fries. Gatorz was closed. The kids were looking forward to that. No jetted tub like the description listed. Laundry room, building b was the only one we found to load a money card and it didn't even work to put funds on it. We walked all around and finally came across the fitness center laundry room that had a cash machine. Having three young kids and walking building to building with a basket full of stinky wet and sandy clothes was not on the list. Front desk said that they would have someone come and look at it. Never happened Etc. Overall, a horrible experience.

Not impressed

Well we went for a long weekend. The property was nowhere near as described. It is very dingy and old. We tried to find an iron and there was none, I called and they said that it was illegal to have an iron in the unit. The walk to the beach is pretty far. The pool looked beautiful however it was so cold NO ONE could swim in it. Had I have known this I would’ve not paid the extra for a room with a pool. The room had a horrible odor to it, possibly mold or mildew not really sure. They were doing something to the one set of stairs and there were workers there at 7:30 in the morning, banging and pounding and sawing ,so much for sleeping in.. The Wi-Fi was very ornery to connect to, and both TVs would randomly just shut off for no reason in the middle of a show. We’ve been to Hilton head 3x and this was by far the worst! The other properties were beautiful. The bunkbeds were extremely small like camper size and the bed in the main bedroom which was only a full, you sank to the floor when you laid down. The front door did not close properly when you tried to leave in the bathroom door on one side would not lock.So thankful we had beautiful weather because if we wouldn’t had to stay in there very long, it would’ve been a lot worse. I booked this from VRBO and I was very disappointed from the service from them. There was not a washer and dryer there it was clear down the other end of the building and it was $3 to dry one time. Extremely irritating there was no ice machine anywhere

Nice area with pool and beach, bed and couch poor. Could not figure out Rocu. Finally got volume. Would not stay in this condo again.

Unit needs updating

I have worked in construction for over 30 years and there were no GFI outlets in the kitchen or bath as required by current building code. This really should be addressed!

4th of July

This is a small, dated unit that is located within easy walking distance to the beach. The one bedroom has a queen bed, closet, TV and nightstands. The one bedroom window faces the main walkway. We did not notice any noise at night. The one bathroom is definitely worn and could use a complete overhaul. Towels were provided, but they are very poor quality. The two bunks in the hallway are tight. I would recommend for small children only. Safety gates were provided to prevent rolling off the bunks. The sofa is old and uncomfortable. Kitchen is decently stocked. Ground floor balcony overlooks the parking lot. Overall, this served the purpose of being close to the beach on the 4th of July for a reasonable price, but don't expect a luxury experience.

Quaint little beach getaway!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. The location was amazing, only a few miles from Shelter Cove and Hudson’s/Skull Creek for seafood on the water, and being able to walk to the beach was PRIME!! The beach bar by the pool was also one of our favorite parts of the property - really good drinks and food so you didn’t have to leave for lunch. The only thing we ran into was the track on the sliding glass balcony door needs to be replaced (I believe I read that in another review as well) otherwise, all 5 stars and we would stay there again!

The Good and the So-So

PROS * Great location. On the beach and close to Shelter Cove shopping & restaurants. * Clean. Well-stocked with kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, paper goods, etc. (although we could’ve used another roll of toilet paper). * On-premises food (Coconutz) was very good. * Great shower pressure. * Huge pool (although unheated) with lots of chaises. * Good communication and easy check-in. CONS * Really needs a new mattress! The queen in there now is very soft and rolls to the middle. * Advertised as “with bikes” but the bikes are only FOR RENT. * Advertised as “sleeping 6” but it wouldn’t be comfortable. First of all, 6 people in 550 sq ft would be extremely cramped and there’s barely enough room for 2 people’s clothes, let alone 6. * Nice TV but it only streams Roku which means you can’t get “normal” network channels (at least we couldn’t). * WiFi in bedroom is extremely weak (and at times didn’t work at all) which means the TV in the bedroom is pretty useless since it relies on streaming. * Takes awhile to get the hang of how the thermostat works; it’s not very intuitive. Directions would’ve been nice. * Balcony slider didn’t work smoothly.

Nice location!

Easy access to a very beautiful beach! Bathroom and kitchen were clean and kitchen well furnished if you are cooking! Bed was very uncomfortable- soft and rolled to center. Furniture in living space was not comfortable. Space worked well for two people but would be really cramped with any more than that. Managed by a property management company not owners. Response time to inquiries was slow.

Added Fees Will Kill You

The property listing makes it look like a great deal, but then as you check out, or change the date the adders nearly doubled the price. As you progress with the rental on line, be prepared to walk away.

Decent Stay

Pros: -The pictures reflected the condo accurately. -The kitchen was very well stocked with all the pots, pans, plates, cutlery, bowls and more. -Seating areas were comfortable. -Plenty of shower towels and hand towels. Cons: -The thermostat worked but the temperature adjustment arrows had to be pushed in to almost the point of breaking the thermostat. The manager was notified and is looking into it. -The sliding door to access the patio didn’t lock. The manager was notified and looking into it. -The bunk beds in the hall way were ok for a kid, but the ladder rungs to the top bunk spun freely and our kids couldn’t climb up safely. So one kid slept on the couch. -The internet was fast and had good coverage, but was not using the best security setting. This should be corrected easily. Overall this was a decent place to stay but it could have been better with a few minor improvements. It was a short walk to the beach from the condo. And there was access to a laundry mat at the end of the hall.

All you need

The condo was perfect! Just me on this trip so more than enough. Would be great for a couple also. Everything you need is furnished and the beach is a very short walk.

Annual Family Vacation

This was our 4th time staying at Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Club 4th different condo. This property provided everything we needed in the condo and was a comfortable place to stay. It’s a short walk to the beach and pool and an even closer walk from the parking lot. Overall we were happy with this condo and what it had to offer.
