We are Dell and Andrea Gates, life-long educators from the hills of east Tennessee. Though we love our mountains, we have long felt the tug of the majestic Atlantic. For many years, we have visited lovely Hilton Head Island (our honeymoon was our first visit!) and wished for the day that we could have a home away from home. We welcome you and your family to share it with us!

After staying in various parts of the island, in hotels and condos, it became clear when we began looking for a second-home property that Hilton Head Island Beach and Tennis Resort had everything we could ask for -- close proximity to one of the best stretches of beach on the island, onsite laundry facilities and fitness center, several tennis and pickle-ball courts, fitness center, walking and biking trails, a kids play area, and last but not least, the largest pool on the island with Jamaica Joe's beach-side bar and ice cream/sno-cone hut. The complex also features Gatorz Pizza and Wings and Coconutz bar in the main building near the entrance, as well as convention facilities for group meetings of all kinds.

While you may not have a view of the ocean in our villa, we offer several other conveniences -- we are in the quietest part (outside) of building C, most convenient to the beach and pool area and restaurants in the main building. You won't hear the noise from interior halls in the early morning or late evening hours! Our villa is located on the first floor, up only a short flight of steps from your convenient parking place. The handicapped ramp is also close by as is the elevator and luggage cart area (so handy for moving all your "stuff" when checking in or out) Our balcony, overlooking the quietest part of the parking lot, provides a respite from an active day. A cool beverage goes extremely well there! We know that you will enjoy your stay, and we look forward to your frequent returns!
