We did a last minute long weekend stay and we were beyond impressed! The location was amazing, the house was so clean upon arrival, and the checking in and out process was a breeze! The host was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We had an absolute blast and plan on booking again!

The pictures of the property were realistic. The house is lovely! The rooms were comfortable, the bathrooms were spacious and so clean, the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, utensils, gadgets and equipment. The location, right across from the bay, was incredible. Watching the sunsets over the bay from the second story balcony was amazing. Truly a rare find for anyone!!! We hope to go back very soon!

Clean and great location

House was very clean. Beds were comfortable. We were there during an extreme heat situation and the AC worked very well. The location is perfect for walking everywhere which we enjoyed.

Great house

This house is in the perfection location with easy beach access and a quick golf cart ride or short walk from Mason Ave. We had a couple of issues pop up with the house while we were there and the rental company was quick to respond and fix the issues. Would definitely rent again!

Perfect Place to Enjoy Cape Charles

Blue Bay was perfectly located to enjoy not only the beach, but the town of Cape Charles. It is conveniently located to shopping and dining. The home is beautifully furnished and decorated, providing ample space for our group of ladies celebrating a milestone birthday. Perhaps our favorite place at Blue Bay was the second story deck, where we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. We hope to visit again!

Perfect House, Pefect Location

This house is amazing. It is completely updated - can you say heated bathroom floors? It has a huge living area just perfect for family gatherings. The kitchen is well appointed. We enjoyed meals in the enclosed porch and sunsets on the upstairs deck. And the beach was right outside our door! We are totally in love with this place. Plus the town of Cape Charles is just a short walk, bike ride or golf cart ride away with all kinds of fun things to see. Don't miss the opportunity to rent this house!

Home was as described and pictured. Access to the beach was easy and we enjoyed the views from both sunroom and upper deck. Good communication from Management company. Beds were comfy. Nice to have TV in each room. Water temp in showers/bath could use an increase. What would make this home a great find for Fall/winter would be a Firetable outside or an electric fireplace indoors, This would be great for those chilly, cloudy days. The town is small but charming and everyone was super friendly. We have stayed in VRBO homes around the country and would stay here again.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the home, the views, and the cozy touches like the comfy beds and TVs in each room. We really appreciate your suggestions about the water temperature and adding a firetable or electric fireplace — those would definitely make for an even cozier fall and winter stay, and we’ll be sure to share your feedback with our team. We’re so glad you’d stay with us again and hope to welcome you back soon!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved it....other than not having coffee grounds for the next morning (that was a personal problem) there was nothing I would have wanted different. Absolutely worth your money. The weather was great and we spent most of our time on the second floor balcony. Ocean breezes and the sunsets were amazing.

What a wonderful home!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had the greatest time in the beautiful home! We noticed immediately that the house was VERY clean- which is not always the case when renting. We were very thankful and this was a big deal to us! Chessie was beautiful from the kitchen/tile/lighting, we loved the sunroom area and especially loved the top deck for sunsets. My family and I love finding new beach towns and Cape Charles has certainly made our list- but only if we can stay in Chessie again! Literally the only thing that I would recommend is a place outside for rinsing the sand off your feet from the beach. We can’t wait to return! Happy 2020!

The best beach vacation ever

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second time we stayed at Blue Bay and it was just as wonderful as ever. The house is fantastic for family gatherings. The location right on the beach is the absolute best. The wonderful historic district is within walking/golf carting/biking distance. The house is well maintained and well equipped with a large kitchen and table space for everyone. The upstairs porch overlooks the beach and some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. There are beach chairs and towels and the rental company is the absolute best. They not only include linens but put them on the beds! There are shower and kitchen supplies - you don't have to bring or buy any of that! And then check out is essentially take out the trash and turn off the lights! How easy is that? We LOVE this place and will be back!

The view from the 2nd floor deck was incredible for sunsets. The house was incredibly clean upon arrival and well-appointed, and the beach access right across the street was fantastic. Just one note: don't put any tall people on the 3rd floor as the ceilings are really low. ;-)

Our Family Tradition

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Each year, our family migrates to Cape Charles, and we are so grateful that Blue Bay is part of our tradition! The location is the best in Cape Charles and the house is very clean with a stocked kitchen and little amenities you'd find in a hotel. This house pretty much embodies our family vacation, and our kids have grown up coming here. So grateful to the owner for sharing their little slice of heaven each year...the oldest daughter is graduating high school in three summers and I hope we can keep coming back to this house once she's away at college! Love Blue Bay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Blue Bay. The most perfect location one could hope for in Cape Charles! We loved the sunsets on the deck. The house was clean and beautiful. I'm sure the owner will make some of the suggested repairs. It needs a new refrigerator with ice and water. Also the deck floor needs repair. It should be noted that anyone over 6'2 feet should not try to stay on the 3rd floor unless they want to bang their head frequently. Put the kids up there.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great. Had a wonderful time. The only suggestion that I have is you may want to install a safety hold bar in the upstairs shower. The upstairs tub is very slippery. Also, I requested to rent the home next year for June 16-23. Never got an email confirming my request. Am I scheduled for that week? Thanks. And again thanks for the wonderful stay we had.
