Do yourself a favor and do not rent this home. When we arrived, there was a pipe in the front yard, bubbling raw sewage all over the front yard, down the street and the landing to the stairway.The interior was not cleaned on time . My husband was on the phone inside. I went out to take pictures and he followed me. When I tried to go back inside to take pictures of the inside of the residence, the cleaners that were still there locked the door and denied us entry into the home. So I was in New Orleans the night before a major surgery with no place to stay. Yet the host claims that the cleaners were never there while I was there and that the home was clean and sanitary for us to stay. It was not.

From the moment I drove into this neighborhood, I knew I was in for a nightmare. It’s a rough area, overflowing with drug activity—from drug hustling right outside to suspicious people lurking behind a plaza and staring into our windows.Upon entering the home, I was hit with a wave of filth. There was trash, dirty furniture, and the cheapest furnishings. The remotes had no batteries, there were juice stains on the walls, and the sheets hadn’t been washed in ages. The host was very unhelpful. The pillows were disgusting, packed with dirt and dust. The floor was sticky, and the house was shared with others, separated by flimsy doors. There was even a dangerous drawstring in the ceiling, allowing others access—what a safety hazard!The host catfished with pictures that looked nothing like the actual place. This host is driven by greed—I never stayed a day in the house and yet they still wanted to keep all my money. Do yourself a favor and avoid this home or any other properties he may rent. The decor is horrendous, cleaning is nonexistent, and the neighborhood? Terrible. The sidewalk is crumbling, and parking is a chaotic mess—first-come, first-served due to other tenants. This was the worst place I’ve ever rented. We even found roaches crawling around. It’s a catfish location using false pictures. Stay away! Dangerous neighborhood! Someone even drove up to my sister, telling her to get out. They also have another location on Martin Luther King Drive! Stay far away!!!

We’re sorry this stay did not meet expectations. The reservation was reviewed through VRBO and handled in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy. The home was prepared prior to arrival, and documentation was provided. When concerns were raised, we promptly arranged for the cleaning team to return and address them. We remain committed to providing a reliable and well-managed experience for all guests.

DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! The place was dirty and had safety hazards.When I arrived to the property there was trash littered in the front, and the neighborhood was not safe. When going up the stairs we noticed the railing was extremely wobbly and not stable. One of us almost fell and injured ourselves. Inside the windows were boarded shut with wood, probably because of safety concerns in the neighborhood. The front door itself looked as though someone could break right through it. There was wood missing from the frame. The sofa was soiled and had stains and missing buttons on the back. The owner covered the sofa with blanket or some type of covering but it should have been replaced. There were stains on the rug in the living room and multiple walls were dirty. In the primary bedroom there was a pice of wood that was placed in between where the wood floor stopped and the tile began, but it was not nailed down. I tripped and almost hurt myself. All in all this place is not inhabitable for renting. I called customer service and was told it was up to the owner to refund and they said after speaking with them, he would not. He offered to come and fix the issues in the house, but there were too many to stay in while there, not to mention it was dirty and not in a safe area. Customer service did not take our safety concerns seriously and we were stranded. If you decide to use Vrbo, rent at your own risk. They have n recourse when problems like this arise, and when people rent out places
