Enjoy a private mountain retreat without giving up the convenience of the city! This 2 bedroom + loft with trundle, 2.5-bath home has a warm, eclectic interior with mountain and city views from each room and proximity to popular attractions.
Perched high atop historic Missionary Ridge, The Hummingbird Hideaway feels like a secret lookout tucked above the city—offering sweeping views, peaceful seclusion, and the rare thrill of being close to everything while feeling miles away. Reaching this perch comes with a little adventure: the short, steep driveway climbs the ridge like a mini-mountain road. Any size car can make the ascent—no 4WD or AWD required—though those who like an extra boost of confidence might appreciate it. One vehicle can also be parked at the top along the road if needed; just be sure not to block visibility for passing drivers.
Sip coffee on the deck, then hike to Glen Falls or Cloudland Canyon, ride the Lookout Mountain Incline Railway, or explore Rock City's scenic trails. After, visit City Center for museum-hopping, live entertainment, and top-rated dining like Calliope and Elsie's Daughter! It's up to You!

We’re Angela and Christina, and along with our two pups, Nixie and Nora, we’d love to welcome you to The Hummingbird Hideaway. Originally from Tennessee and Florida, we bring a love for the outdoors, music, community, and good food to everything we do.
When we’re not exploring the mountains, hiking, or trying out new local restaurants, we’re usually enjoying time together with Nixie and Nora. We love hosting because it gives us the chance to share the space we’ve created—a place where you can rest, find peace, and experience something magical.

On of our favorite pastimes is watching the hummingbirds playfully dance while sipping our coffee and taking in the beautiful views of Lookout Mountain in the privacy of our back deck.
