With 3 bedrooms including 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds, and 1 full bed, guests will find this a soothing retreat. The home is less than two blocks from Southeast Missouri University on one side, and the beautiful Capaha Park, and Mercy Hospital within walking distance on the other. Rest on the front porch, or the spacious fenced in backyard.Downtown is less than five minute drive or a 15 minute walk to the river. It is in Walking distance from coffee, shops, and restaurants, including Mexican, vegan, and historic eateries.

Look. It’s not fancy. It’s an older home. But….it was perfect for what we needed. We will use it again next year. If you want affordable and close to campus look no further.

We believe the house was built in the 1920's and has all the charm of that era with all the modern conveniences of this one. The 3 bdrms and 3 bathrooms were perfect for our stay and the hostess was wonderful. The property is loved.We parked in the driveway but parking can be on the street despite street signs to the contrary we were told they were not enforced. Would we stay there again....in a heartbeat.

We are a family of six kids and have always loved to have company! We recently had some family events that has changed our dynamic a little bit. Having said that we also recently moved from the kids neighborhood, this historic neighborhood that they grew up in, so we did not want to lose all those memories. And now we share them with you and your families in our home. So kick off your shoes and enjoy yourself in our family home. There is a small unit in the back of the home completely separate and completely private that is being rented currently. It is being rented by my son, who also helps manage the property. If I am unavailable, I can have him address and he needs that you might have.

We hope that you enjoy your stay in the historic district downtown Cape Girardeau in our historic home.
