The Space:
Open and airy with stellar ocean views, this multi-level home is ready to welcome you to the beach! You'll be blown away by the number of windows letting natural light into the living room, enhanced by the vaulted ceilings. Soak in views of the water and the dunes just behind the house from the great room, the two main bedrooms, and the partially covered deck, and enjoy your very own path to the beach and an outdoor shower to welcome you back.

If you're feeling like barbecuing, the private gas grill outside has a great view and plenty of outdoor seating to allow everyone to enjoy the Folly sunset. But if indoor cooking is more your thing, the full kitchen features a French door fridge, a natural gas stove, a Keurig for your morning coffee, and a kitchen island with three counter stools, all close to the oversized main dining table. The entire home is cooled by central air conditioning.

When it's time to settle in for bed, you'll have plenty of options. The first-floor main bedroom features lovely ocean views, a private deck entrance, and an en suite bathroom with double sinks, a standalone shower with a fixed and handheld showerhead, and a soaking tub. One guest bedroom is just to the left of the front door and features a ceiling fan, a double-door closet, and a multi-window view of palm trees and the neighborhood.

Upstairs, everyone can enjoy the loft space with a TV and casual seating while gazing out at the ocean. A guest bedroom features a ceiling fan with a neighborhood view across the entire island to the Folly River. An additional primary bedroom features a lovely private balcony with a broad beach view, multiple windows that provide plenty of natural light, and a ceiling fan. This room includes a private entrance to the second-floor bathroom with double sinks.

All of the beds and bedframes were updated in December 2024, along with all of the great room furniture, to welcome you in comfort

Additional home amenities include fast WiFi, a sofa bed in the loft for extra sleeping capacity, an outdoor shower and hair dryers for beach days, a private boardwalk to the beach, and two adult-size beach cruiser bicycles. Beach chairs, toys, and umbrellas are also provided.

In addition to being just steps away from the beach, guests are only three blocks from the town of Folly. You'll be close to the Folly Pier and numerous restaurants, all within half a mile of your vacation home! Enjoy a tour by boat or kayak at Flipper Finders Boat & Sea Kayak Tours, just under one mile away. The Morris Lighthouse Heritage Preserve is a short ride to the island's eastern end, looking out on the historic lighthouse that protected the entrance to Charleston Harbor. All that downtown Charleston has to offer is 12 miles away.

Family Vacation

This house was an incredible place for our family vacation, including three generations. The view of the beach is amazing, the ocean is just steps away and you can walk to Center Street for food, shopping, cocktails, etc. The layout is open with lots of windows to see the beautiful view. We loved hanging out on the deck. Can’t say enough good things about the Lighthouse Keeper!

Loved the house! Perfect location. Walking distance to town, resturants and Berts ( the only grocery store on the island plus so much more). The house was very clean and the beds and great room furniture were very comfortable. Having an upper and lower deck was great too. An added bonus was all the beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys and bikes. Vacasa was easy to deal and very attentive. Thank you for a great family trip!

Great spot on Folly Beach

Great home! Love the layout and the location! Opportunities for improvement include upgrading the bed in the upstairs room (I think that is already in process) and there may be an issue with the drains (slow flushing, slow sink drain).

Great beach view

House was awesome just needs some repair. Toilet seat needs to be replaced in upstairs bathroom and chairs on deck with table need to be repaired on arms. Elevator was really helpful! The house has a high chair and pack and plays that are very helpful to family but was not listed in listing items and could save families from renting or bringing. Great house!!

We had a very enjoyable stay, house was great. Right on the beach and walking distance to anything downtown and the pier. House was very clean and check-in process was a breeze. Would definatley recommend!

Beach Front for the 4th

Overall our stay was enjoyable. The house was a little more worn down and not quite as clean as we’d expected. The location of the house however and the layout worked perfectly for our family and the view from the deck to watch the fireworks on the 4th was incredible! Folly is such a walkable town, we loved being able to walk from the house to Main Street in a matter of 10 minutes or less!

EXCELLENT

I rented for a week to celebrate my wife 60th birthday. We had all of our children and and our grandchildren. Everything was great. You can not ask for a better location. The home has everything we needed. Great views. Will definetly come back.

Perfect Location but had Theft

The location of the house is absolutely perfect in relation to downtown. Also a wonderful spot on the beach and the view from the house to the water was beautiful. The house had wonderful space with plenty of room for our family of 6 and grandparents. We arrived to doors unlocked and the back doors wide open. The front bedroom window was also open and stuck open. They came to tape it off for our stay. The kitchen floor was filthy upon arrival and we had the cleaning crew come back. We were told we were receiving a refund for the cleaning fee but have yet to see the refund. The place is in dire need of upgrades. The two master bedroom beds are terrible. The furniture is dated. The house was properly equipped otherwise. The worst part is that we were burglarized. They stole my bag, my moms bag and my husbands cologne. There are no cameras on the house. I understand not having interior cameras for privacy, but there is no reason there should not be exterior cameras. It took hours to hear back from management because they were dealing with a more important issue of a pipe burst in another house. It really put a damper on our trip and we felt uncomfortable the rest of our stay. Bottom line, beware of your surroundings

My friends and I loved our time in Folly Beach. The house was perfect for long chats, walks on the beach, good rests, and close to all the town has to offer. Everything we needed!

Wonderful weekend

My family and friends had a wonderful weekend at this place. Excellent beach access, well stocked kitchen, spacious rooms and recently updated, this place was great. Will definitely try to book this place again next year!

Fantastic House with Maintenance Problems

We loved the home's location close to town, open floor plan, beach, deck. and would highly recommend and return IF property better maintained. Vacasa eventually fixed kitchen plumbing; other reported problems were unresolved. The kitchen sink was out of commission, washed dishes in bathtub SA-TU. Other unresolved issues: elevator arrival/departure days (someone came to fix this, but it remained broken), sofa bed (missing springs/screws, adults couldn't even sit on it due to sagging), ice maker broken, upstairs shades not working, plus safety concerns due to lack of maintenance outside and inside, too many to list here. A contractor came to assess situation. He said to report the many issues in hopes the home owner would be aware, that this was a common problem with vacation rentals. All were reported with photo documentation at the beginning of our stay. This was a very frustrating week, knowing our concerns were not fully addressed. Even so everyone agreed we had a great time. Vacasa compensated us for one day's rental due to these problems. We hope this property can get back into first-rate shape. It could be a wonderful vacation home.

Really enjoyed this gorgeous home!

This was probably the nicest places I’ve stayed on the beach. Pros- On the beach. Easy to get down to the sand but back up to the house for drink runs, potty breaks, cranky toddlers, etc. well appointed kitchen. We didn’t have an issue with finding different kitchen items for whatever we needed. Appliances worked well. Was impressed it had gas Spacious- a family vacation is a time for togetherness but sometimes being able to spread out is clutch. Plenty of bathrooms. Great parking Quiet. Cons- Some normal wear and tear issues part and parcel of a rental. Not deal breakers just a sign of a well loved home. Example- slow draining upstairs shower/tub. It is a bit of a walk to the main drag for dinner. No big deal for an adult but slightly more difficult with children. Would love to stay here again!

Fantastic Family Weekend

A great location on the beach! The house was beautifully furnished. Whatever a guest might need was readily available. Our family, adults and kids, spent enjoyable hours on the beach using the beach chairs and toys.

So close to perfect

Overall we enjoyed staying at this property, the location, beach access, and the views were fantastic. The elevator works great as long as you're smart enough to read the instructions. We did have issues with the downstairs TV, I think it's probably time to replace it as you could barely see it during the day and at night the colors are way off. Some locks on the upstairs bathroom doors would be a nice addition in the future.

Great times at Folly

Very spacious beach house with all the amenities and spectacular views. Everything was great although some little maintenance on the deck, gates and locks might be due. Short walk to great restaurants and bars and 30min drive to Charleston. Anyone booking this will not regret it.

Great experience

We really enjoyed the house. The view of the beach is amazing, and the porches are big enough that you can spread out and relax. Great location, beside the public beach access so we had two options for getting down to the beach. Spacious rooms, very well maintained. Had some questions about the elevator and were able to resolve it quickly with the property manager. Would definitely recommend!!
