Make your Outer Banks vacation an unforgettable one at this cheery, dog-friendly home in Avon! With great proximity to shopping and restaurants, this two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home is perfect for a small family or couple's retreat. A bonus room featuring a queen-size bed provides even more sleeping accommodations. Plus, bedding is included!

Nautical themes adorn the home's interior and accentuate its familiar comforts. Guests will appreciate the modern essentials like WiFi and cable TV, while the private deck provides the perfect space to disconnect and unwind. Be sure to take advantage of the full kitchen for family meal nights at home. The shared pool is an easy, five-minute drive away making it a great option to beat the heat without having to leave the property. The home's great location still allows for prime access to local area attractions and food and drink options.

Please Note: As a barrier island, Hatteras is constantly changing. Beach conditions, dunes, and access points may vary due to erosion, restoration projects, weather, and other environmental factors.

Cute little getaway!

The Green Turtle had everything we needed for a nice, off season vacation. Very close to a great dinner spot and the Outer Banks best coffee joint.

Great experience!

I was concerned after reading some of the previous reviews, however, we found this place to be very clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the appliances and living room furniture were newer and in great shape. The location was excellent! We would definately stay here again!

Perfect house for a couple or young family

We loved that the beach was not too hard to get to. The neighborhood has a lot of locals living there, so it is well cared for. Kitchen had everything we needed (just the two of us). Not a lot of bells and whistles, just a nice, comfortable house close to the beach

Had a nice time at this place. Clean, alot beds, and cozy. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. A nice deck to kick my feet up. The host also left beach chairs for us to use. I will be staying here again.

Great location

The house was located in a quiet neighborhood with a lot of full-time residents, which made walking the dog easy and there wasn’t cut through traffic. The walk to the beach access was short, but do wear foot protection to continue the walk over the dune to get to the surf. The house had ample room inside, parking and the outside shower had plenty of privacy. The keyless entry was super nice.

Fantastic Location

We loved how the house was back from the street. Very easy and convenient walk to the beach. The house provided us with everything we needed. It was not as clean upon check in as I like, but it was certainly not something I felt that needed fixed. Our only suggestion is to provide more air circulation to the bottom level bedroom. It was very hot and "almost" unsleepable. We ran a fan from upstairs down to the bedroom and there was a mobile air conditioner, but that caused there to be a lot of white noise all of the time.

Just ok

House was just ok. Beds are terrible. On our honeymoon and we slept 3 nights out of the 5 in bunk beds separate because that was the only way to get any sound sleep. Water doesn’t stay hot very long. Garbage truck comes around at 230am waking us up as its loud and workers were banging cans on the ground. Huge cockroach second night we were there in shower. Definitely wont be staying at this location again.

Needs Work-Probably wouldn’t stay again. Not elderly friendly. Not dog friendly.

House wasn’t the cleanest. I found dirty dishes, dirty fridge, and killed a roach the 2nd day. The bed downstairs had two torn mattress protectors on it that kept coming off. The steps downstairs to the other bedroom are steep, and there is one that’s very tall, and the handrail is a 2x4 that isn’t good to hold on to. The yard was full of big piles of dog poop and tiny cacti all over the place. that got in my dog’s paw. The tv in the 2nd bedroom didn’t work. The light switch in the other bedroom upstairs didn’t work or wasn’t labeled as to what it went to.
