Host was welcoming and responsive to problems/concerns. The property itself had several issues. Washer/dryer unit was not working. “Heating” consisted of 2 plug in heaters as the thermostat did not work. When the two heaters were plugged into the same circuit, the power blew. The same thing happened when the blow dryer and heater were used at the same time. Furnishings were reminiscent of a college apartment, and bedroom blinds had large broken sections. Bedroom curtains did not cover the whole window, and it is a ground floor apartment. However, the host brought us extra towels, replaced the door lock battery, and helped us navigate how to use the breaker box. With some upgrades, it would be a great place to stay. Very convenient to the Garnet Ave. shops and about a 3/4 mile nice walk to the beach. We felt safe in the neighborhood and the plaza a block away had a grocery, drug store, and a number of eateries.
