Nice home but repairs needed for price paid

The property was very nice with the exception of a few things ie, the door knob going into the garage had no screws in it to hold it on so it fell off in my hand when I tried to go out into the garage, the large ottoman has a broken leg on it, there in a hole in the drywall where someone had apparently opened a door into it and someone tried to patch it very poorly, the kitchen sink in horrible shape, to name a few. I would think with the price my husband and I paid for two nights for our family this property would have been totally squared away. We loved the area though and the amount of sq ft the home offered.

We enjoyed our stay a lot.

House was clean and beautiful. It was very cozy and spacious too. The only thing was that I wish the driveways were shoveled as it had snowed by the time of our arrival. I slipped and fell on ice trying to get to my car. Other than that, I will stay there again.

A Great Stay

The property was beyond my expectations! Everyone fit comfortable, everything was clean, but most important we felt safe. I would rent this place 10 times over. For my first time at deep creek this cabin played a big role in making our stay wonderful. Also the scenery was wonderful as well.

Nice, big home that need alot of little things

Let me start with the strengths. Customer service is excellent. The management is responsive when they are called. The house is huge and the bedrooms spacious. The heater works extremely well. The kitchen has adequate equipment for cooking (although the knives need sharpening). In general, the finishing work from the contractor is quite poor--it was someone who didn't have pride in a good job. Floor boards are not laid well, there are flaws in the granite, door hang crookedly. It is a quite pretty house but with many little flaws to speak to poor workmanship. The house must not have had great usage. The dishwasher hose had a hole it in and when it ran water was all over the floor. A toilet was constantly running. A bathroom door needs to be repaired and a part was ordered. Three windows cannot be open and they apologize because they are waiting for parts. I imagine all these parts have been on order for some time. The fireplace does not draw well and need repair. The screen in front of the fire is destroyed. The cover for the grill is in rags. An ottoman is broken. The decor is cheap walmart products-prices are still on the decor. Renters are idiots, throwing their trash around bins instead of putting it in bins, which draws bears and results in their death. I picked up what I could but was just disgusted. For the amount of money charged, a number of these problems should be fixed. Some are due to poor quality management in the construction of the home. While we enjoyed our time together, I would not come back here again.
