We stayed here 4 nights earlier this month (August 2015). We were 2 families, and it was perfect for our bunch! We had 2 married couples (in our 40s), 1 teenager, 1 preteen, 1 5-year old, and 2 toddlers. With the use of the attached studio suite (with its on kitchenette) this condo has 2 king masters, both with very nice balconies overlooking the ocean. There's a 3rd bedroom with a queen bed - also with a balcony overlooking the ocean. In addition, there's a queen pullout sofa in the main living area, and an additional pull-out twin bed in the studio room. The kitchen is pretty modern, and had everything we needed. The unit itself is nice. It's modern and bright. Not overly lavish, but it is clean - and that's important. Each room has a nice flat screen TV, and the WiFi works great! Being on the 6th floor was nice. It is high enough to have a very nice view of the ocean, but not too high that we couldn't hear the waves. And our wait for an elevator was never long.
We booked through Panhandle Getaways, and they were very good. When we arrived our key code to get into our unit didn't work. But we simply called the number they had given us, and within 10 minutes they sent us another code that worked fine. The only other small issue we had was one of the balcony sliding doors was stuck shut, so we couldn't open the door. We called that same number again, and they said they would take care of it. The next morning 2 men came and fixed it in 10 minutes. Great service!
We really liked Splash because of the location. It is RIGHT on the beach. There is no road separating your building from the beach... just sand. Is has a lot of pools, and really does cater to children. The ocean and beach here were clean, and the waves were just right (boogie boards were perfect). We found that we were 5 minutes driving from all sorts of stores, restaurants, and other activities, although we rarely left our property during our 4 days.
All in all, a very good spot for families to enjoy the beach and ocean!
