Accommodations are suitable for a single person or couple visiting Asheville for vacationing pleasure, business or both. Located in a quiet neighborhood less than 4 miles from downtown and there is access to the Blue Ridge Parkway without a single traffic light. Private and secure entry is separate from main home. Spacious living room with fireplace and streaming TV for lounging. Kitchenette with self serve coffee, microwave and minifridge. Parking is easy and only steps away from the door.

The custom woodwork throughout the space was a collaborative design between owner and craftsman. Using locally sourced materials for cabinets; and urban reclaimed hardwood lumber for furnishings, doors and original paneling, all uniquely designed with a handcrafted touch.

Great stay. Location was perfect for hiking, biking, visiting downtown Asheville. Host provided so many recommendations for things I was interested in, made me certain to return. Location is off the beaten track but close to the beaten track - perfect.

What a lovely, peaceful place to stay in beautiful Asheville. This property was so tranquil, with a wonderful view. It was exactly as described, very comfortable, beautifully decorated and it had everything needed. Our stay at Joel's home was the best!Up a mountain road but still close to Asheville. Easy to get to. Very quiet.Joel is the best, even helping us with refilling a tire that was low on air. I had a wonderful stay in this quaint home! It was the perfect place to come back to after a long day exploring Asheville. I could not be any happier with my accommodations. It was exactly as advertised with no surprises. Joel was a gracious host and quick to answer any questions about hikes and drives and offered multiple suggestions that I explored. The apartment was roomy with a nice sitting area for relaxing and winding down after a long day. I already plan to return to Asheville in the future and will be checking to see if Joel’s apartment is available.

Minutes from downtown, minutes from the parkway! Joel's location is great! Joel was very responsive during my stay and was able to provide info about nearby shops, places to eat, things to do, etc.The place was clean and was properly represented based on the photos.I had a great time in Asheville and I wish I could've stayed an extra day!

This rental is a gem! Close to everything, clean and cozy. Host is excellent… quick to respond and made the process seamless.One note is there is not a stove and only a mini fridge…. Just something to keep in mind. Highly recommend!

In order to comply with the city of Asheville's short-term rental ordinances, hosts are not permitted to feature a full kitchen (e.g., stove and full size refrigerator, among some other restrictions). So just so everyone knows out there, and as advertised, it is a kitchenette with a larger than standard size mini fridge for more volume for food storage, there is a microwave and sink. The kitchenette has a Keurig, single serving (K-cup) coffee maker including an assortment of coffee flavors: Dark Green Mountain, The Original Donut Shop and Decaffeinated. Also, Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa. For herbal teas: Twinings Lemon & Ginger, Pure Peppermint and a caffeine free herbal tea (much like camomile). I provide sugar-in-the-raw, white sugar, Splenda and Truvia. The creamers (International Delight) are chilled in the refrigerator: regular, French vanilla and hazelnut.

I loved this space so much! It’s perfect for one person or a couple traveling up to Asheville. The location was close enough to downtown that you felt like you could get anywhere you wanted but tucked away in the woods to feel like you got out of the city for a little bit. The host was amazing and super nice! They truly put thought and love into this space. The keyless check-in is super nice as well.

This was a great find! From the start, Joel was super responsive and thoughtful, answering any questions I had about the property and nearby amenities in a timely and generous manner. He made the check-in and check-out process so easy and smooth, it was a real pleasure. The apartment was extremely well kept and clean, and the kitchen was stocked with some great staples like coffee cups with lids, and aluminum foil. The view from the comfortable living room couch was beautiful and serene. I appreciated being able to sip my morning coffee on the little chairs out in front, and go for some short walks, as the place is very quiet with nature sounds in the background. I really enjoyed my stay here, both the indoor and outdoor space, and would consider staying here again next time I visit Ashville. It is a lovely getaway for anyone visiting Asheville that wants a bit of quiet and natural space out of the noisy downtown, but close by.

Pros: - Easy check-in- Free parking right in front of the door- Lots of hot water- Cool fireplace with remote- Pretty close to downtown (by car—definitely not on foot)- Nice view of the woods- Friendly cat- Tidy- Nice selection of Keurig pods including herbal tea and hot chocolateCons:- Persistent damp/mildew smell- Mattress too big for the bed frame so it sloped a bit on the sides- Kitchen is not really usable as a kitchenThis is a pleasant place to stay for 2 people. There's no burner or anything to cook with except a microwave, so heads up if that's not clear from the description. We planned to eat out anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. If you are afraid to see or hear or talk to your host, skip this one. It's basically the lower level/basement of a regular, in-use house. He's nice though, so not a problem for us. We enjoyed being pretty close to downtown and enjoyed exploring the greater Ashland area, hiking, etc.

The rental unit is the lower level of the house where the owner lives. It is very easy to access from the parking area in front of the house. Very attractive interior and has all the amenities desired. Very comfortable bed. Owner was very easy to contact and responded immediately. Highly recommend this rental option when in Asheville, NC.

we had such a beautiful experience with this Vrbo! the space is wonderful, clean, and elevated when compared to other offerings we saw in the area. the drive to downtown is 10-15 min and there was easy access to wherever we had planned to shop/eat during our stay!
