Located at the far West end of the Island, Fort Morgan is Gulf Shore’s most exquisite, secluded beach location. This privately owned condo has a breathtaking view of the Gulf, newly decorated master bedroom, granite countertops, and tile throughout. Prefer to come in off the beach and not get all spruced up for dinner? No worries. There is fully equipped kitchen for just that. Also featured in this condo is a dining area for 6, a full-sized washer and dryer, cable TV, and two full bathrooms. Best of all, this 1-bedroom condo sleeps six! Whether you are a family or a group of friends, you can all stay together without crowding one another. One King bed, a Queen sofa bed, and a set of bunk beds ensure everyone sleeps in comfort.

Other property amenities include Wireless internet, 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, fitness center, and direct access to our private beach. Panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Bay can be seen from your own condo and Master bedroom!
The Mobile Bay Ferry, Historic Fort Morgan, and Gulf Shores Marina are just minutes away, for all your boating/fishing/kayaking/exploring needs.

Wonderful memories

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a very nice and clean rental. The view is amazing and it's not a super busy area. The condo seems to have some updates from the pictures. Nower couch and furniture in the living area. Would highly recommend staying here. The hot tub and pool were so nice. Security was always visible walking the grounds and very kind and helpful.

When we arrived the room was not clean the floor & beds had sand all over them. The sliding glass door was filthy. The bathroom in the bedroom had mold on the walls as well as the shower curtain & when you turn the shower on you better have a towel down because the shower head shoots it out and it floods the floor. Our AC also went out at 9 at night I sent a txt message to the number they gave us with no response the next morning I had to send another txt & they got someone out to fix it after we had a miserable night. The entire hotel also had construction going on which blocked us in our room a few times where we had to wait for them to finish before we could come out. It was very quiet no partying or playing which was nice with 3 children at bedtime. It is a drive from town so if you need anything I would advise grabbing it before heading to the hotel.

The Dunes Condos

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect. My time there was just as I planned. For the most part the condo was clean and comfortable. The exception being the kitchen. I had to wash most of the dishes I wanted to use as they were caked with dried food-egg, spaghetti, cheese etc. yes, it was obvious what was stuck to the dishes Some were just greasy. Most dishes, pans, utensils were crammed or thrown into cabinets, no order. I guess I’m spoiled, but I found few or none of the extra amenities to get you started-paper towels, a scrubby to wash dishes with, etc. Did have trouble with the wi-fi— was given wrong PW 3 times before getting the new one. The Sunset Staff was courteous. A maintenance man did come to check the wi-fi and fixed the dish washer at my request while there. He was very helpful. Lots of folks use these condos every year and I know not everyone takes care of them, but maybe someone needs to check the condition of objects , esp kitchen supplies often.

It is about 20 minutes from Gulf Shores which we like but if you plan on going to town a lot then I would look some place else. I loved having a nice kitchen and was able to quickly make meals for everyone with out difficulty. We brought all of our food from home but if you do not I would stop at the Wal-Mart in Gulf Shores before starting your vaca that way you can enjoy all your time on the beach. It was very family friendly and our kids made friends with other children while there. I gave 4/5 stars for cleanliness because when wiping water off the floor on the first day my rag was dirty which grossed me out a little but besides not mopping I did not have any concerns. It was a very nice spot for our family for an amazing price. If you like to be off the beaten path a little bit this is your place.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice unit, Fort Morgan gets better every year. I've stayed at the Dunes many times over the past 8 years. With the addition of more restaurants in the area, and a grocery store, it is becoming easier to enjoy the more secluded location without having to make the 20 minute drive back into Gulf Shores for supplies or food. Dunes 207 met my expectations for cleanliness and overall comfort. It is a great unit for a couple or small family (perfect for my wife and I and our two young children) given the sofa-bed in the living room and bunk beds in hallway. The addition of some small amenities (rugs/mats on the tile would be nice as my daughter fell in the foyer after coming in slightly wet from the pool) and upgrade of the master bedroom mattress would be my only suggestions for improvement. It was a great stay and I look forward to returning next year. Manager responded on 8/16/2013: We are so glad you were able to join us again this year. Great overall stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property is nice! It's a bit of a drive down 180 to get there but it's worth it. Nice family-oriented place. They don't have a sauna as the advertise in several places on the website, which was disappointing as I was really looking forward to it, but it didn't ruin the vacation by any means. Pool is very well up kept by a professional service daily. Manager responded on 7/17/2013: Thank you for taking the time to do this review on this property and on your vacation. We are so happy to hear that this vacation was wonderful. We are sorry you were disappointed about the sauna, unfortunately the board chose to remove it due to constant vandalism.
