WHAT’S NEARBY

Welcome to the Sunshine State! Your stay in the beach city of Destin will please everyone, especially beach lovers. This location will put you moments away from the white sand beaches, emerald green waters, and a plethora of fun activities. The beach will be 170 yards from your vacation rental; it's private and gated, providing a secure environment and the perfect place to truly relax and worry about nothing but sunbathing. There are showers available for you to use; rinse off the sand before heading back to your condo. Amazing!

We loved the location of the property and the private beach access. The area was really nice and quiet and really allowed us to relax after being on the road for so long. We enjoyed the property and hope to be back in the future.

Great Location

This property was so adorable! So close to the beach w private access. Literally 1 min walk!! Plenty of space with ocean views! Next trip to Destin we’ll definitely stay here again!

Fun vacation spot

Everything was perfect other than there not being extra trash bags and the electric wiring in the back room and bathroom was weird, the lights would flicker on and off without being touched.

What we imagined

the only problem we had was, a hole in the master bathroom cieling. it is a tile is missing but you’re still able to shower. the condo for unit A is not gulf view, but wasn’t a terrible walk. we loved it here overall tho. very quiet and everything was an easy process

We thought it was great! But got BED BUG BITES!!

We absolutely loved it, until we realized that 2 out of 4 kids had allergic reactions to bed bugs from staying here! And one adult as well. We didn't realize what it was until we got home and had to take the kids to the doctor. We had thought it was something we ate but the doctor confirmed it was bed bugs!! Not a great way to find out that 2 out of 4 kids are allergic to bed bugs.

Eh Just ok!

The location near the beach was probably its biggest perk! Was very disappointed in finding out just days before our arrival that the outdoor pool was closed for construction. Not sure where the outdoor or indoor pool was even located as we never did see a construction zone and nothing in the unit gave directions to it. A pool was a huge priority for our stay with our kids and had we known it wasn’t available we would have chosen another place. Reached out to the property management of Vacasa on this via their email and still have not heard anything back. The cleanliness of the place was a little questionable. They need to have pillow cases on ALL pillows and consider replacing some as they were gross; as well as pull out the trundle mattress in the bunk room for cleaning as that was really nasty as well! Did get a response on those concerns via text/phone when I gave a poor review via their text message and was credited half the cleaning fee, which was nice I guess?! However if you’re looking for great amenities this is not it! The unit didn’t offer much, not even some of the basics such as, hot pads, pizza cutter, scissors, very few trash bags, or even salt/pepper for the kitchen. No beach towels, had to ask for additional bath towels just for bathing; very few of those for a 10 person unit. If your driving in and can bring all that with you maybe this is your place…not ideal for flying in. Had a hard time even finding a way to reach property management to ask some of these questions so we knew what to bring…tried through VRBO messaging system…no response. Was sent their Vacasa app to download. Only found a general email that again we got no response from. Not planning to stay at this location again.

Bad exeprience

There was major construction in the unit above us. There was no warning or notice of the work. On our second morning we were awakened to the sound of hammering and drilling. The floors were being chiseled/scraped and removed, and replaced with new tile. The remainder of our trip we had the sound of construction morning until evening. At some points the noise was so loud we could not even hear each other speak over it. To make the situation worse, the weather was bad, so we were unable to go to the beach or pool due to the rain. We were stuck sitting in the room listening to the noise. No relaxing, or watching a movie, or playing a game. Just noise and rain. The owner of the unit where the work was being done was extremely rude and could care less. I was given the number of the onsite property manager by the janitor, but the manager never returned my call. The rental company, Vacasa, was no help either. They said they had no notice from the owner or property manager of the work, and there was nothing they could do for me. I was told if they construction occurred before 8:00 am or after 8:00 pm, I was welcomed to call the sheriff. I don't understand how the condo HOA allows major renovations during peak season and with no prior notice. Also, the washers and dryers which are not in the unit and are coin operated, one of the dryers did not work. I dried towels for 2 hours and then realized this. The kitchen was not well equipped, there were few pots and pans. The one large pot (5 qt.) had the handle broken, making it difficult to use. We have stayed up and down the Alabama /Florida coast for over 25 years. This was not the worst but it was far from the best. I will not be staying here again.
