Perfect Family Get Away

This property was perfect for our family vacation. The location was so close to everything but yet out of all the chaos. Having both indoor and outdoor pool was nice when the weather wasn't ideal. It's also a very short walk to the beach.

Beautiful condo with a picture perfect view. Had everything we needed for our stay.

The only reason I'm rating our stay a 4 star is due to painting/power washing that was being completed during our stay, it made laying on the pool deck or sitting in the hot tub rather noisy from the generator. Nice quiet area with Orange Beach and Gulf Shores near by.

Great place for a small family

Stayed here with my wife and son. We had a great time and loved the condo. It has plenty of room for 5 adults if needed. We like the perdido key area and this is right across from some great and reasonably priced places to eat and walk around. The beach was extremely clean and the people working and stay in the condo were all very nice.

Great location

We had the best vacation. Our location was perfect, just a few steps and we were on the beach and it wasn't crowded. We were close to everything Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and Florabama restaurant were all just minutes away. Shops and restaurants with great food are just right across the street. We will definitely come back.

Everything we needed

We had a lovely time! The condo had plenty of room for the 4 of us. Everything was clean and the view was spectacular! Price seems a little high but would stay again.

Very nice family friendly

Perdido Sun is a moderate sized condo with the amenities you need but not the crowd. The only complaint was that our room door code did not work and we had to call for a new one.

Very nice unit and decorations

Weather was great and the complex is very nice! The people are very friendly and I will return again soon. However it would be helpful to all guests if the entrance to the lobby was repaired. Everyone had constant problems with the code for the lobby door!!!!

Overall not a bad condo but the balcony furniture is awful couldn’t sit and enjoy the balcony as much as we wished and for being on the beach there was literally no where to hang thing towels both bath and beach or beach bags beach chair etc

Great Girls Trip

The condo itself was extremely nice and well taken care of. We loved the fact that we were just minutes away from Flora-Bama. Perdido Key was amazing, low-key, and relaxing. The only issue we had was with the beach service. It took a hour and half to rent beach chairs because one guy was working 3 different beaches but the guy working was great and frequently checked on us. But other than that it was completely amazing! We look forward to our trip next year!

As for the smell. we made our house keeping team aware of this issue, and this unit was treated for the smell after your departure. The property / condo was very nice and clean and good condition.

we lucked out on getting this condo regarding where it was located in the building, closeness to elvetors , and the beach. Condo had many great items we needed, but, the couch and recliner were very uncomfortable. It was hard for us to use the washer, counter tops, etc, due to the fact that we are quite short and senior citizens We did appreciate all of the thoughtful extras, like a pizza pan, night lights, great supply of kitchen items, etc. . We did enjoy our stay, and will remember our two weeks in Perdido Sun.

Lovely Unit and location

Overall, the stay was very nice. It was a great location on the beach with beautiful beach views from the room. We had a few bumps checking in. There were no parking passes or wristbands left for us in the room and they delivered them later the next morning. When we arrived the door was unlocked (later we realized it is because the door lock does not align with the frame). Some of the codes provided for our stay did not work and we had to ask the front desk for updated codes. We also had elderly parents staying in another unit who were overwhelmed with so many codes for all the different doors (lobby, beach access, pool access,door codes etc) and then more frustrated when the codes changed halfway through their stay. The check out was also very early at 9AM and I found being asked to pay more for a later checkout to be very cheeky considering we paid over 2000 for our stay. The property itself is lovely, but overall we would likely not stay here again.

Thank you for your feedback. We're thrilled you enjoyed the beachfront location and views, though we apologize for the challenges you faced during check in and with access codes. The door codes and amenity access are managed by the Homeowners Association and can change periodically for security reasons. We understand this may be overwhelming and we appreciate your patience as our team worked to get the correct information to you. Parking passes and wristbands should have been ready upon arrival and we apologize for the delay. A work order was created and our property manager had them delivered promptly. Regarding checkout, all Southern managed properties have a standard 4 PM check in and 9 AM checkout time, unless an early arrival or late departure is purchased with 5 days advance when available. These details are shared during booking and in your confirmation email. It was our pleasure hosting you. We hope you can come back and visit us soon, here on the Gulf Coast.

Perfect location

Easy check in. Clean & well equipped. The kitchen was well- stocked & appliances easy to use. The living room was comfortable even though the glass top coffee & dining table were rather oversized. The 2nd bath was wonderful - large tile shower with 2 joined shower heads & plenty of space for toiletries on niches & window ledge. Double doors (one to living area, one to 2nd bedroom) made it convenient. Twin beds & room to move made the 2nd bedroom great for our grandkids. The master bedroom was large but the view was everything! Straight out to the surf & sand. Being on the 10th floor provided a lot of privacy. There was a large closet and double sinks in the dressing area. The master shower was somewhat disappointing as it was a seemingly smaller tub /shower crammed next to the toilet in a tiny water closet-type room. The balcony view was fabulous!!! It was still rather warm on the beach & the kids enjoyed the very clean large indoor pool. Condo front desk & management staff were very helpful. We had a good time and would stay there again if in the area.

Lovely, large condo in Perdido Sun

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay in unit #1000 in Perdido Sun. It was a lovely and spacious condo! The rooms were very large and the main shower is to die for!! We really enjoyed the full size W/D, too! There are just a few nit picky things that we saw and would suggest updating/upgrading to make this condo top notch, especially since it is so thoroughly appointed everywhere else in the condo and it is top dollar. 1) upgrade fridge - people have broken several parts and it has been taped together in areas 2) replace the “cut” and fringing curtain in the main shower 3) remove the outdated TV cabinet in the LR and place a console table to free up space 4) replace the SMALL TV in the LR with a larger one for entertainment 5) replace the outdated TV in the 2nd guest room with the TV from the LR Again, these are just nit picky things and did NOT ruin our time at the condo at all. Just merely suggestions from a property manager perspective. The condo is fantastic and we will surely look for it again if we choose Perdido Key as the place to stay next year. I love going back (lived there from 2010-2014) but my husband wants to try OB next year. Thanks for the wonderful stay!!!

Pool close and hot tub closed for maintenance, Southern did not offer alternatives.

The 2 bedroom carpets were worn, dated, dirty, and baggy. Basics such as coffee filters were not furnished, something that you can't bring with you since their are to many types. With the pool and hot tub closed at this time of the year not much was available to do at the resort. The indoor heated pool was nice but under the circumstances overflowing. The main problem is that Southern, the booking company did not offer any choice but to forfeit. Very insulting to talk to. They should of, when they became aware of the problem, either released us from the contract or allowed us to book one of their alternate sites. Under the circumstances I would have paid a premium for a fully functioning property.

Thank you for this feedback Ray. We apologize that the HOA scheduled maintenance interfered with your vacation. While we cannot control when they schedule their work we do sincerely apologize that the pool and hot tub were not available during your stay. We are pleased to report that the work is complete and everything is open again! We have also updated our listing to include a list of items we suggest guests bring with them on vacation. This information can also be found in our guest portal, which all guests have access to. We have done everything we can to make sure that our cancellation policy is clearly outlined before guests book their reservations and we apologize that this negatively effected your vacation. Nice place and great location BUT...

This property is supposed to be a smoke free building. Every single day, all day long there were people smoking cigarettes or pot on their balcony. The smoke always gathered in out balcony and made it hard for us to enjoy it. My son has asthma and my boyfriend is allergic to cigarette/Marijuana smoke and they both have severe reactions if it is inhaled. One of the main reasons I chose this condo is because it was supposed to be smoke free. Someone might want to do an inspection on this condo as there is and outlet that is exposed in the dinning room area. I am sure that is not up to code. For the most part the condo and location was great but if you don't enjoy 2nd hand smoke I would suggest that you do some research to be sure you won't be inconvenienced by someones inconsideration with their cigarette/pot smoking! I will choose to pick another condo to try to avoid this the next time.
