Sordid Lives Condo is inspired by 'Sordid Lives,' the 2000 movie written and directed by Del Shores, who is the owner of the condo. It has been beautifully updated with a mid-century feel and boasts memorabilia from the movie for some fun and flair. Del has even included a DVD collection of all of his films and standup shows for your enjoyment. During the day, you can soak up the sun by the pool or relax in the spa with your favorite beverage. There is a full kitchen equipped with everything you may need to create your best recipes; or, you can walk to downtown Palm Springs for a bite.

'Sordid Lives' has become a Palm Springs historical cult classic. The film, starring Beau Bridges, Bonnie Bedelia, Delta Burke, and Leslie Jordan, is still the longest running film in the history of Palm Springs, having played at The Camelot Theatres for a record 96 weeks. This condo is within walking distance of Shores' star on the famous Palm Springs Walk Of Stars.

The condo had everything we needed in a great location (walkable to downtown restaurants) - was a quiet little oasis away from street noise. Working with the new management company (casago) to get unit access info and parking info was difficult - they were not organized (yet) - we thought we might not have a place to stay the day before! Only other downside is it is a ground floor unit so you can hear the upstairs tenants - not a problem for us because we are early risers ourselves.

Excellent amenities

The condo is spotlessly clean and very well stocked with kitchen and bathroom amenities. The bed is good and the linens are fresh. The location is convenient and quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Great setup

The location is awesome! Coffee shop, shopping, and restaurants all within walking distance. Beautiful setting. The bed was comfy. The pool and hot tub hit the spot after hiking Joshua Tree and other places nearby. Will certainly be staying here again! Will

GREAT LOCATION, SUPER QUIET

This was a sweet spot, low key, clean and out of the major downtown action but within quick walk of the downtown action. Also get to stay at the place of a Palm Springs celeb. Loved it!

Fantastic place!

Nothing like staying in an Albert Frey designed condo when enjoying the splendor of Palm Springs! The condo was great - even though my wife and I hadn’t seen Sordid Lives, fortunately Del left a DVD there so it all makes sense now. Great movie! Excellent location, super quiet (at least while we were there) and the views of the mountains from the pool are amazing. Would definitely stay again!

I spent several days of "ME time" in this great place located near new trendy gallery's, downtown Palm Springs, and fantastic restaurants including Jake's and Five Four Nine. Plus the mountain views at the entrance to Los Palmas were amazing, especially at dusk and dawn. It was quiet and luxurious. This will be my first choice for anyone visiting Palm Springs!

Updated, clean condo in perfect location!

We had a wonderful visit at the Sordid Lives condo. It is clean, modern, and extremely convenient to downtown Palm Springs. We enjoyed the hot tub and the movie memorabilia. The only downside was needing to check in at the management company in Palm Desert, but this wasn't a huge inconvenience. Would definitely recommend and return to this property!

Palm Springs Perfect

This was the perfect property for our return to Palm Springs. Stylish, immaculate, ideal location and the perfect size. Having lived in the Rancho Mirage this return visit gave us the opportunity to reconnect with friends in person. Sordid Lives was an ideal setting for the visit. Thanks to the management and to Del Shores for making it available. While we used the condo gently since we dined our every meal, every day, it was a comfortable place to rest.

Perfect Space, Perfect Location

We were only in town a short period of time and found the Sordid Lives condo to be the PERFECT "hotel" room... with a great layout, kitchen and bath. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was fantastic. Parking was covered and close to the back door! You are right in the heart of Palm Springs... so we never used the car... and simply walked everywhere. Amazing shops and restaurants within a block! Highly recommend!

Tennis Food Hiking

That's what we did in Palm Springs last week! We rented a condo in the old las palmas neighborhood as our base. Property was clean, had a comfortable queen bed, full kitchen, and a Hollywood poster theme decor. Parking was a covered carport and the neighborhood was very safe. From there we were just a block away from great restaurants, coffee, and shops. A short drive to hiking in Indian Canyons, and 30 minutes from the BNP Parabis open tennis tournament. Great place to stay and would rent again.

We will be back!

Location is FANTASTIC. When we walked in it was as though it was brand new. Everything was so very clean, including the pool. We made friends with some of the others staying in the complex and parking was flawless. Very easy to understand directions for check in- check out- and the place was very nice and secure. IT was just perfect and the owner and property management were very welcoming and friendly. If you want a wonderful evening of quiet- the property was great for stargazing. As well the photos do not begin to frame just how beautiful this property is with the mountains and palms as the back drop from the pool.

Perfect stay, even in the middle of 2020. Easy check-in, great communication. Place is as described, but better. Assigned parking is easy and accessible. Outdoor spaces are lovely. Plenty of space and storage for a slightly longer stay. The kitchen is nicely equipped, so I had most meals in, but there’s an outstanding variety of restaurants etc. within steps. The Sordid Lives memorabilia and touches are such fun, and they’re really the cherry on top of a beautifully renovated and outfitted condo with excellent management. I’ll be back!

Perfection

The place was perfection ! The location was perfection ! My only complaint was... I was never told on the website or by the emails i received from company thatI need to drive 30mins away to the office and show my ID to get the lockbox code. After driving 12hrs to the condo I was then told I need to drive 30min / 1hr round trip to go show my ID to get the lockbox code. Which I Totally get... but that info would have been GREATLY appreciated before arriving.
