The Space:

This oceanfront Brookings beach cottage is the perfect getaway to renew your spirit and refresh your senses. Observe harbor seals, diving pelicans, osprey, and cormorants, and look for whale spouts with the spotting scope or binoculars. Relax indoors or on the two large decks, or spend a quiet moment on the meditation deck beneath the alder trees. A hot tub with privacy shades and an ocean view accommodates four at a time, while the kitchen and outdoor gas grill allow cooking space for everyone. The large loft has ocean views plus an additional bathroom. Looking for your next vacation read? Browse the home's library, featuring over 500 books. WiFi will help you stay connected with the rest of the world, though you may be happy to turn your devices off and sit on the deck with your feet up and something delicious to drink instead!



Located just across the California-Oregon border on the Harbor 'bench,' this home is just minutes south of Brookings, which is often referred to as the 'banana belt' of the Oregon Coast. If activity is your goal, you can shop, fish, golf, hike, bike, or walk at many nearby sites. McVay State Recreation Area is a short walk down the street and is set up for disc golf as well as offering access to clamming, beach strolls, and agate, shell, and rock hunting. Hundred-year-old azaleas run throughout Brookings' Azalea Park, just over the bridge that crosses the Chetco, one of Oregon's wild and scenic rivers. Charter fishing excursions are available at the Port of Brookings-Harbor, still an active fishing port. Harris Beach State Park offers a long, sandy walking beach, and at Loeb Park, you can swim, tube on the river, picnic, or hike through ancient redwoods.

The house was as described and is older. It felt a little like staying at grandmas house. The view was nice and it was quiet. It had everything we needed but wasn’t worth the price.

View was excellent. Property needs some upkeep. Rental company was responsive to things that were problematic, hot tub and barbecue.Beds were comfortable and ample linens.

Wonderful property - close to the ocean, town, state parks, etc. Everything was great! The home feels real, with real books and games, etc.

A good short stay

The view is absolutely gorgeous and since we had perfect weather, it made it even better. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the peace and quiet. It was wonderful listening to the waves. The house is older but had the amenities we needed. We did not use the hot tub. We did not need to contact customer support during the stay.

Well maintained perfect stay

Clean home with everything labeled for ease. Furniture, carpet, bathrooms, kitchen, and bedding were all in new condition. Definitely would stay again.

Grand view, great location

This is the second time we have stayed at Harbor house and the home is very clean comfortable and well equipped. The proximity to McVay Rock Recreation Area is a plus, especially for rock hounds (although we did not find any agates this trip). Only a couple of miles away from Brookings and a number of scenic beach areas. The view out on the back porch gave us great sunsets. Would definitely rent again.

Breathtaking Views!

This house is situated in a perfect setting for stunning views overlooking the ocean! We only stayed here one night as we were travelling through. The place is older, could use some additional upkeep, especially the decking, and wasn't the cleanest. But, only staying one night, with those views, we enjoyed it.

Enjoyed every second!

This was my second time staying at this house. The views are even better in person. All the beds were so comfortable, the house was fully stocked with whatever we could need, including info on the town of Brookings. It was an incredible place to celebrate my birthday with my 5 closest friends. We will definitely be back many more times!

Amazing ocean view!

We loved staying at this house. It was very clean and well taken care of. The beach lookout is amazing and was one of the highlights of our trip. The only suggestion we have is to update the guest information book. The wifi is different than what is in the book and a few of the spa instructions like unlocking the padlock and removing the bar on the cover weren't accurate as there wasnt a bar or a padlock to unlock.

Spectacular View… but could use some TLC

The view was amazing and we enjoyed the sunset. Short walk to the beach to watch it as well. This home is in desperate need of some TLC. Boards loose on deck, landscape in disrepair. Instructions manual discussed many things to do to keep place nice but they were all broken or in poor shape (privacy blinds on hot tub) Hot tub is only really for 2 people and very old. Wasn’t warm when we arrived but did get it working and enjoyed it. I found the contacts very helpful and responsive.

Our property manager confirms the deck is brand new and in good condition. The landscaping is done regularly, and the home looks good. We apologize that the hot tub was not very warm upon your arrival. It was left very dirty by the previous guest, so our team had to drain it and fill it out again. It was at the correct temperature by that night. We appreciate your valuable suggestions to continue improving our service, and we hope to have a chance to host you again for a much more enjoyable experience.

Great Location

The house is in a great location. Easy access to Hwy101 to go to Redwood NP or travel the Oregon Coast. There is a small park down the road that gives you access to the beach. The house is very cozy, and the kitchen is great. Not all of the space heaters work, and the outside lights did not work---we reported these issues. Be sure to bring your own blow dryer. The spa was a great place to relax after a long day of driving and hiking and the sound of the waves were a natural sleep inducer.

Family Mini Vacation

the neighborhood is gorgeous , the neighbors were so sweet ❤ the beach just a couple miles away. But the inside of the house smelled like urine i had to buy a candle . The bathrooms were dirty and the blankets smelled . I feel that you need a new housekeeper as your renters pay another of money for cleaning fees. I probably will not rent this house again as I had to re wash the blanket we slept with and wipe stuff down.

Corporate rental and it shows…

From the faint aroma of animal urine to the peeling wallpaper and dilapidated patio, the home is in desperate need of attention and updating. While we enjoyed the breathtaking view, the lack of outdoor seating and landscape maintenance made the experience far less pleasant. This property could be a showstopper, but is criminally neglected.
