A relaxed haven for a coastal getaway, this private cottage is just a two-minute stroll to the golden shores of East Beach. Highlights include high-speed fiber optic internet, a fully equipped kitchen, hardwood floors, a large whirlpool tub for two, a walk-in shower, and a private gated patio with an outdoor shower and dining set. The master bedroom offers a brand new, king sized bed, air-conditioning, a gas fireplace, smart Roku TV, and bluetooth sound system. A second room features a built-in twin daybed and desk, perfect to use as an office or kid's room. Guests can also access a large, communal deck area that features sun loungers, a dining table, and a gas BBQ grill.

This home is just one block away from the famed East Beach and within walking distance of restaurants and local attractions such as the Santa Barbara Zoo, Bird Refuge, Cabrillo Arts Pavilion, and East Beach volleyball courts, all of which are within walking distance. Guests can also make use of the scenic bike and walking path that runs along East and West beach and houses some of the best shops, galleries, and restaurants that Santa Barbara has to offer. For locally grown and organic produce, Tri-County Produce is just a 3-minute walk away and features a fully stocked market that has everything you need. Stearns Wharf, The Funk Zone, Montecito, and downtown Santa Barbara are all just minutes away by car.

Note that if you rent this place you will be dealing with a management company. When you call the number they give you , an AI assistant talks to you. We had a simple question about the tv as there were no instructions on how to use it. The robot tried to connect me to a human but then said no one was available at that time. So they’ll leave a message. We never got a response after 2 days. Also just do you are aware, The place was nice but there is a communal shared washer and dryer attached to this cottage and on Sunday am the maids used it to wash the linens from the other units and it was quite noisy and shook the house some. We were awake and so headed out a bit earlier than planned that day. Lots of people checked out on Sunday but I would assume they could use it every day someone leaves the other units.

The house location to the beach and restaurants was perfect. My family of 9 stayed there comfortably and were able to cook, visit and share meals. The house was clean but the bathrooms were a little worn. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

You’re paying for the location and the size of the house, but nothing else. It’s a very old house, which is completely fine, but it is quite literally falling apart. The furniture? Broken. Doors? Broken. Doorknobs coming out left and right, shower knobs falling out, stove pilot lights going out and then the place reeks of gas. The place can be old but it isn’t well maintained. Clean? Sure… but what does that matter when everything is broken?The money you spend on this house definitely does not go back into the guest experience. I would not recommend. I’m lucky the people I invited just thought it was “quirky” since we only stayed two nights but for how much I payed, it was utterly disappointing.

Lovely stay. Vintage decor with crisp white bedding & a cozy mattress. I can see how this would be an excellent place for multiple couples to stay. Great location!! Very thoughtful extension of plugs near nightstands. Only negative is bathrooms, which are in need of updating.

Lovely visit

The house offered plenty of space for our family to be together for games and meals. It is an easy walk to the beach and not too far from downtown Santa Barbara.

It is a perfect house for families or groups who love to hang out together, and a super location. Each bedroom with own bathroom is a major plus and the kitchen is huge and manageable for 10 people.

This is quite an old house in critical need of repair. The owners appear to have bought it merely to make money but not to invest in improvements. Examples: the sink in my bathroom leaked badly and plumbers could not fix it, so all I could do was place towels on the floor; the hot water faucet in the shower was broken and kept falling off; the house was advertised as having 6 hairdryers. There were five of us and we finally found one; woodwork is seriously banged up and gouged; floors are damaged; cupboards and drawers are painted shut as are windows. The owner needs to invest about 500k to fix the place, beginning with the bathroom I referred to. The house has a winning location, though. Very walkable and the beach is five minutes away by foot. So if damaged accommodations don’t bother you , you might like the place. I wouldn’t stay there again unless it had the necessary repairs. It’s a shame that the owners don’t do something with it.

Perfect place!

This house was perfect for our family of ten’s three night stay! Spacious yet cozy with a wonderful front porch perfect for early morning coffee conversation. Great location two blocks from the beach. No need for air conditioning during our mid-June stay. If you like older houses with lots of character, this is the house for you!
