Condo was good but across from ocean not right on it so if you want to go to ocean you have to come down go from back parking lot and cross the busy street besides that was ok

The condo was adequate but a little tired and could use some updates. The pool was closed and unavailable. It took 3 days for Vacasa to call back and address a TV issue that we experienced. The location is great, close to everything with plenty of services close by.

Pono Kai beautiful property on beach in Kapaa. Walk to beach or shops within minutes. Stay two weeks if you can!

We Love This Place !

Nothing beats Oceanfront ! Falling asleep to the sound of the waves and the refreshing sea breeze is just wonderful. We have stayed in D101 several times and will be back again to be sure !

This condo is in a great location - on the island, within the complex and proximity to the beach. It is spacious and well-appointed. That's about as far as the glowing reviews go, though. The apartment itself felt sticky and like it wasn't really clean. Picture frames and shutters had layers of dust, and the secondary bathroom sinks had brown gunk around the overflow holes. Peeling paint, broken shutters, and windows that were not in their tracks gave a feeling of neglect. The unit needs a stick vacuum of some sort, as the floors always felt dirty (there was a broom and dustpan, which were ineffective). Hinges and other metal fasteners were rusty and seemed old. Extra closets were full of maintenance things which would lead one to believe that maintenance was a focus, but things were not well-kept. The new refrigerator/freezer was nice and spacious. There is no pantry. The hair dryer provided for "convenience" is a joke. It barely blows and only cool air. I bought my own at Longs. The fans that were provided offered some relief from the heat but without A/C, it's HOT. We adjusted after a few days but it was rough. The beach that's just steps away is not a beach for "enjoying a day with your kids." The water is very rough and the sand is littered with branches, sticks and logs. It's pretty, but not a beach to play or walk or make sandcastles. Laundry facilities were convenient and sufficient. I would recommend this complex but will not be returning to this particular unit.

Wake to the sunrise every morning, & 100 steps to the beach... you can't beat it

My family and I just love this condo. No AC? No Problem... just open the sliding door and windows and the Sea Breeze will keep you nice and comfy. Well kept grounds, and as mentioned literally 100 paces from the Sand and Ocean. Easy walk into town for Shave Ice, Coffee or just to check out the local scene. We have stayed here probably half a dozen times, and will certainly do so again !

The location is why the high rating. The place has its positives but is older and could use some work. The iron is so old and did not work. The fan in guest room has no remote and hard to figure out. The kitchen was very good and the screen door going out to ocean is very hard to see through. My biggest issue was smell in room like it was just cleaned. Just not a fresh air smell. Having said all this I would stay again but would be nice to have air conditioning

Excellent stay

What a great visit! You can't beat the location. Close parking, close to the beach and a well-stocked apartment. The unit was clean and spacious. We appreciated the small extras like beach chairs and beach towels. We had good communication with the property management as well. There were a couple of small maintenance items that I alerted the PM too and I received a prompt reply to my email with the assurance things would be looked at by maintenance. None of the housekeeping items were a deal breaker for our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing family week

Beautiful stay at the Vrbo. The only reason i rated down a small amount was the ad stated washer and dryer in the Vrbo and there isn’t one. So if you are counting on this…you need to know there is no washer and dryer. I even went back to check the listing after we got there and realized there wasn’t one. You have a limited number of pool towels as a Vacasa member vs a pono Kai member and cannot check out or exchange your towels in the pool area for fresh ones so without a washer/dryer a week can be a long time with limited towels with daily use at the beach and pool. Otherwise the unit is beautiful, clean and as listed.
