Welcome to the Salt Run Cottages. These two, side by side cottages were constructed as some of the original ‘transient’ rentals in the 1930s long before vacation rentals were a household name. Completely reimagined and renovated in 2026 to provide an open, modern floor plan and high end finishes. These quaint but complete cottages beckon you. As the name suggests, these cottages are located less than 50 yards from the beautiful waters of Salt Run which is part of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Perfectly located central to everything St. Augustine has to offer. You are exactly 1 mile to downtown St. Augustine including the historic corridor and top restaurants. You’re right around the corner from the Lighthouse, Anastasia State Park, St. Augustine Amphitheater and about 3 miles from the main St. Augustine Beach.

This listing is for the Spoonbill’s Retreat Cottage. A modern coastal style retreat. Enter to an open concept living area with couch and smart TV. Opposite the living area is the kitchen with a fridge/freezer, full size stove & oven, microwave and dishwasher. Cook full meals while enjoying the bar seating on the 8’ quartz peninsula. Additional appliances include a coffee maker, toaster, blender and electric kettle.

When it’s time to rest, a single bedroom with queen bed and second TV is located just off the living room.

The cottage is also complete with a full bathroom with a beautiful rain shower head.

The cottages have access to a waterfront platform deck that looks over beautiful Salt Run and is located about 50 yards down the dead end road. The deck has Adirondack chairs & loungers to soak up some sun, enjoy a morning coffee or an evening cocktail after a fun day exploring. Lovely ocean breezes, frequent dolphin sightings and bird watching are favorite activities. The deck is shared between the two cottages.

One dedicated parking space is provided directly in front of the cottage.

Awesome stay! The place was very nice and perfect for two people. It’s just outside of downtown, so you’re away from the hustle and bustle while still being really close to everything. We came into town for a concert at the amphitheater, and it was right down the road, which made everything super convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful and quiet rental option minutes from historic downtown St. Augustine. Great spot for a concert at the Amphitheater (Walkable if needed). Host was very communicative and was able to offer us early check-in.

My wife Brittany & I met at Flagler College in St. Augustine when we both attended. Since graduating, we've stayed in the Northeast Florida area between Jacksonville & St. Augustine. We love St. Augustine and all it has to offer.

When Brittany and I first moved in together after college, our first rental house was located on Salt Run and we always thought it was the best location in all of St. Augustine. Close to downtown, close to the beach, close to the amphitheater and not to mention on the water.

We live about a block away in the same neighborhood and operate a couple other vacation rentals in the same area. All of our guests rave about the location and access to everything St. Augustine has to offer.
