Good Stay
First let me say that communication with the owner and property manager were excellent before and during our stay.
The owner very kindly arranged for International TV to be installed as we do not like to eat out every night and this was very welcome as our Spanish is very limited, so a big thank you to Kai for that.
The complex is very well maintained, with good standards of cleanliness. The gardens are pleasant and it’s possible to find shade amongst the mature trees when needed.
A couple of Sunbeds would have been welcome as when lying on a towel we suffered several insect bites Purchased a huge throw at the local Wednesday market and that and insect repellent helped.
Everyone we met in the complex was very friendly
Situated on a hill a decent walk from the beach, and quite close to two very good supermarkets, we chose not to have a car and we like walking so the location was fine for us.
The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage, the air con and fans worked well, the weather was fantastic, but not so hot that we needed the air con, lovely breeze from the open windows .
Washing machine and cooker rather perplexing at first but once we understand how they operated they worked fine.
Locally a few bars/restaurants and in La Mata town itself several more
We caught the bus several times into La Mata /Torrevieja and purchased a tourist travel pass for €20 which with a 60% discount which was excellent value
Overall a very good stay.
