We had a blast.
Very nice condo.
Only 6 elevators for roughly 300 apartments, probably 2500 people.
Half didn’t work first 5 days. An individual could get up and down OK, but carts, luggage or grocery’s were stairs. We were on the 26th. Floor. First 6 hours on Sat. Were waiting for elevators or walking stairs.
They had them all working by Wednesday noon.
Thursday we went to Pete’s across the street for ice cream. Got stuck in the elevator. I kid you not. Used the emergency button, the lady suggested going up & down 1 floor at a time. At 18 someone was waiting for a down elevator and it opened.
Others staying there said this has been a repeated problem.
BIG ISSUE. Beach access. As condo’s get bigger, to squeeze revenue, they have pushed us paying customers off the water front. When it’s crowded…. I understand, but we were on the beach, Wednesday, weather was occasional rain, lots of wind. Maybe 15 people, counting us 6. Chairs on the wet sand where the water was washing back $ forth. Not at high tide. Two young ladies came out (must have seen us on security cameras, told us to move, we were not allowed to be in front of the blue chairs. I know 1. I paid $ to access that beach. Plus, it’s public property to the high tide mark.
I won’t be back to ANY rental unless
1. They specifically state in writing that I have access to the water front.
2. I will write both my senators and congressmen and ask they NOT support beach restoration on non public beaches.
