Aloha,
Fell in love with Kauai, and always dreamed of living in Hawaii part time. Live in Northern California, in my hometown of Chico. For past 25 years I’ve been involved in Rotary International, a service club. Enjoy volunteering as an Ambassador for a humanitarian Rotary project called “Give Hope-Give a Hand” project. Travelled world-wide to teach and train fellow Rotarians to give FREE prosthetic hands in their own country. The LN-4 Prosthetic Hand, is designed and mainly made in California. It meets an unfulfilled need, and distributed at no cost to those missing a hand thru FB and Rotary Clubs projects. The simple hand device is made of plastic with a quick release that holds useful tools. Hand restores up to 35% of daily functions, pride and dignity to recipients ages 5 to 105 years old. Personal travels include South Africa, Zambia, Costa Rica, and Mexico with the focus on teaching non-medical Rotary club members to volunteer and serve those in their own communities. Check out LN-4 on FaceBook for more info. My career was owning and managing retail Art Glass Galleries and Women's clothing stores in San Francisco Bay Area. Between traveling, I spend time maintaining 72 Rose bushes, gardening a raised-bed vegetable garden, and painting wearable art.
