I don’t want to waste any more of my time on this nightmare but owe it to the community to know what I experienced at this property.
I am a seasonal Delaware homeowner for over 46 years and my home is currently under renovation , and wanted to take my family on a beach weekend vacation and thought this property would work for us. The nightmare started when we checked in and the house was filthy. It was not cleaned or clearlychecked on before we arrived and we arrived to other people’s filth all over the home , hairs and dirt on the beds ,molded showers , broken driveway , overgrown landscaping , broken AC and the tv system was not on and working.
I tried to improve the situation on my own by cleaning & sanitizing the home , washing the beddings ,resetting the AC ,I had no choice to call the properly manger after he didn’t respond to my concerns on the VERBO platform. At first the property manager Michael was understanding and asked for photos / documentation. I took a lot of time on this matter to help to improve the situation with kindness , patience and understanding but ultimately was evicted at 8 pm that evening. The eviction was outrageous and not acceptable. After scrambling around to find accommodations last night , with most hotels booked solid , we were able to find a hotel suite to accommodate our family luckily. I then immediately called VERBO to let them know what happened.. They were wonderful refunded us and are covering our hotel bills!! Thank you.
