Our host Maria was more than accommodating, very communicative leading up to our trip and also while we were there.The accommodations were clean and comfortable. You need to bring your own shampoo and soap. Also, the location truly is about a 10 minute walk into Piazza Tasso and maybe a 20 minute walk back since there are steep hills. We ended up taking taxis back at night because of it being so dark and no sidewalks. We are in our 60s for a reference.Once you are in the Piazza, it’s an easy walk to get to the ferries for Amalfi Coast or Capri. Also lots of shops and restaurants in the Piazza area.

Belle maisonnette

Belle maisonnette dans le jardin de la propriétaire et très intime. Le seul bémol est la situation sur une route en pente douloureusement accessible à pied surtout avec les bagages ou après une journée intensive de marche. Sinon tout était parfait.

Located in a lemon grove

The cottage is surrounded by lemon, orange trees and flowers but is only a 10 min walk to the main piazza and shopping street in Sorrento. Maria Laura is a wonderful responsive host. The property is immaculely clean.

Gem in Sorrento

This property is fantastic! The owner is so nice and welcoming and communication was easy and consistent in the app. House was very clean and plenty of space for the 2 of us. It is nestled in a lemon and orange grove which makes sitting on the patio so relaxing. 10 minute walk to town but like all things on the coast, hilly. Shower has enough hot water for one get ready shower so we had to plan our get ready time accordingly. Needs 30 minutes to recharge, No big deal once you know. We loved it here. Great restaurant right up the hill called Da Filippo which was so convenient and beautiful. Close to the train station and port so it made getting around easy. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone. Thank you!

Sorrento Escape

Great little hideaway near the center of the best of Sorrento. Maria was a fabulous host with many nice extra touches like fresh fruit, teas, and snacks upon arrival. Cozy place where all appliances, heaters and features were in perfect working order. A great place to be immersed in the best of Sorrento with perfect privacy. I definitely recommend!

Wonderful oasis

This cute apartment was perfect for us and our two teen daughters. Laura is very communicative, responds quickly and did her best to assist us in every way. The apartment requires a walk up a pretty steep hill (like a lot of Sorrento!!) but if that's not a problem for you, I would highly recommend!

The property was very clean but was a bit damp due to the location amongst the lemon trees. It was difficult to find. GPS was unable to locate accurate address.

Not senior friendly

We felt very unsafe walking from unit because of limited space there are no sidewalks lots of traffic not a good location. The outside garden couldn’t be used because of bugs. Host was friendly enough but just said take taxi or bus to go anywhere Seniors shouldn’t stay here

Sorrento en octobre!

Vraiment bien situé et tout se fait à pieds. La gare en a 15 minutes à pieds et les rues principales aussi. Pouvons même se rendre au port à pieds. La place est vraiment bien. La dame a sa plantation de citronniers et une multitude de fleurs. C’est très humide par contre.il y a un emplacement de parking et une barrière que pour les locataires et la propriétaire qui habite ds sa maison à coté. Très sécuritaire comme endroit.

Great host, beautiful little house

Our host made our stay, she is so pleasant and wonderful. We were so jetlagged from travelling over 24 hours, it was so nice to arrive to a host that was so pleasant and helpful. Laura's English is good which really helped. The house is very clean and has everything you need. The location is good. It is just up the hill from great restaurants, a super market, and the train station. From the train station take a taxi there as the road is uphill and narrow. We had a problem figuring out what house it was. When you get to her street, it is the one at the bottom with the gates and the tile sign with lemons. Thank you for a great stay. Creole and Guy

Wonderful two week stay in downtown Sorrento

We stayed for two weeks in April 2024 and had a wonderful trip. The house was just as expected with all of the amenities you could want. Everything was clean and worked well. Maria is the best host one could ask for. She communicated several times each week asking if there was anything she could help us with. She even provided us a basket with pasta, homemade sauce and goodies from her garden. Having citrus trees in the backyard was great to pick fresh lemons, oranges, grapefruit and more as well as just to sit underneath and read a book and relax. Highly recommended!!!

Perfect Garden Paradise

The hostess was absolutely lovely and kind. She was full of information, provided a bowl of fresh fruit from her garden which we loved eating each day. The little home was very clean and spacious. We would highly reccomend for one night or even one month stay. Easy access to the train station, a local bakery, and the piazza. We loved our time here!

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights. We had a little difficulty finding the home which is situated in a gated community. A call to Maria promptly led us in the correct direction and in addition she came out to meet us. The home is a 20 minute walk to the center of town however as with much of Italy, there is a significant hill to negotiate on the way back. The home was equipped and Maria and her husband were wonderful. Her husband drove us to the bus stop at 5:30am on the day we left Sorrento. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Little green oasis within Sorrento

Laura was a Great Host for us, helpful and very friendly. The flat was comfortable and quite despite being not far from the center of Sorrento. The only small proposal for improvement would be the directions to get to the place. We only could find it after Laura picked us up.

Affordable Secluded Gem

Loved being able to escape the crowds and heat in the shaded garden at day’s end. While there, we never drove our rental and were appreciative of being able to safely park behind electric gate. Everything was walkable. Also loved doing laundry before returning to the states. Laura’s place was quiet and clean. We would stay again! Sorrento is a great place to base an Amalfi stay from. A day trip to Capri is a must!
