The property was beautiful, clean, spacious, and surprisingly stocked with extra amenities for guests..Anna and Stephanie were super helpful.. We enjoyed not having TV and wifi, as family time and seclusion was the point of our trip.. We enjoyed bird watching and kept the windows open most of the stay.. Saw 3 different eagles off the back balcony during our stay, which was very rare...we utilized the cornhole boards, fire pit, and the radios located through out the house.. take the reviews serious when they say the closest store is NO WHERE nearby.. We visited Williamsburg, Janestowne, York Town, (the tiny sliver) Claremont Beach for a sunset and Smiths Plantation.. prepare to be an easy hour from pretty much anything.. we never spotted a human in Claremont until our day leaving (other than the owner). We utilized the long drive for our daily exercise.. The Merchant Square in Williamsburg has several dining options if you really wanna eat out.. we came prepared to make several meals at the home but did eat early dinners at The Cheese Shop and Mellow Mushroom and lunch at Retro(something) that had amazing lunch and local craft beer.. The Beer Project (in same bldg as Mellow Mushroom) is a fun family place to await the local eateries with several games (for kids) and beers on tap.. Also a Smashburgers that looked amazing and had no wait (like the sit-downs), was located in the same area..
The property is stocked with several items for finer dining or serving that makes me think a small wedding, reception, or shower would also be beautiful here with lots of items already offered with the fee. I agree with the review about comfortable seating in the living area, but we stayed outside most of our trip so that wasn't an issue for us.. If we are to visit the area again, we would certainly look to stay again here..
*last note, you need to be physically able to climb stairs to enjoy this property as there is no bedroom on main floor.. Thank you for sharing this gem of a property!
