Wonderful property

Big, beautiful house in a quiet nice neighborhood. Plenty of room, pool was clean and any concerns we had were dealt with quickly and professionally.

Gozo stay

We stayed for four weeks. House for us was in a quiet location that suited us perfectly. The farmhouse had limited comfort to two very uncomfortable sofas and an aging TV. I only say this because to relax was quite difficult if you don’t go out. We didn’t use the pool as it was to cold. A decent enough kitchen but again aged. But dog friendly was a bonus. House keeper was very nice.

Amazing placr

Loved the island of gozo and this property was in the perfect location to explore the island. Really helpful with any issues and pointing out local amenities and the pool was just heaven in the heat! Could not recommend enough! :)

A lovely villa

We had a great stay here. The pool and outdoor space was lovely, and the villa has a lot of space and character. The village it is in is very quiet, but all the main sites are just a short drive away. It was great to have a highchair and cot provided.

Such a great holiday

Our family of five adults and two boys aged 6 and 4 enjoyed the whole Ponderosa experience. Lovey sunny weather for long walks Enjoyable barbecues around the cool pool. Wonderful sites to visit. And a superb restaurant in San Lorenz. Efficient helpful host . Thanks

Rural and authentic paradise with full comfort

the location, in the heart of the village but beside champs, the old stones, the swiming-pool There is beside the property a small piece of land where garbages were deposed. It's no visual or smelling trouble at all but may be responsible for the too many moscitos. Also water evacuation may gain from more slide in order to keep stones dry by the swming-pool

das perfekte Urlaubsdomizil mit perfekten Gastgebern

Das Anwesen war sehr gepflegt und blitzsauber. Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war sympathisch und zuvorkommend und sehr hilfreich. Uns wurden auf Wunsch Lebensmittel und Getränke zur Anreise kalt zur Verfügung gestellt. Ein Laden ist in ca. 5 Minuten Fußweg zu finden, das nächste Restaurant ist ebenfalls fußläufig zu erreichen. Auch die Ein- und Auscheck-Modalitäten waren super organisiert. Für uns ein perfekter Urlaub in einem wunderschönen Anwesen.

Très bon séjour !

Très belle maison spacieuse. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de chauffage dans le salon ni la cuisine car la cheminée ne suffit pas à chauffer lors des repas en hiver. Les ustensiles de la cuisine notamment sont de mauvaise qualité, usés, il faudrait vraiment revoir l'équipement pour que ce soit plus à la hauteur de la prestation de la maison. Prévoir plus de couverts également car il faut vite les laver pour couvrir les repas lorsque l'on est nombreux. Sinon extérieur très agréable (propreté des transats/chaises/coussins moyenne malheureusement). Manque de soleil dans la cour en hiver, dommage de ne pas avoir aménagé un peu mieux la petite cour qui se trouve côté rue qui, elle, est inondée de soleil. Séjour très agréable dans l'ensemble et hôtes réactifs. La literie est très bonne mais il manque des rangements dans les salles de bains pour ranger et poser nos effets personnels et serviettes, c'est un peu dommage pour la taille de cette maison. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, au calme, dans cette joli petite ville de Gharb très typique.

Ponderosa is a gem!

We had a wonderful experience. The house was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for a week’s holiday. Has some wonderful architectural features inside - feels like castle in places. We loved the pool and secluded outdoor area at the rear of the house. It was a great base from which to explore Gozo and we also did a day trip to Valletta as well. Highly recommend!

lovely authentic holiday home

The house was overall what we expected. An authentic farm house more than big enough for our family of 6. We had a lovely holiday and enjoyed the pool very much. However we were a bit disapointed about the facilities of the kitchen. The dishwasher didn't work properly. The dishwasher tablets didn't "melt" and so the dishes were not clean. We tried the different programs of the machine but non of them did the job well. Result we had to do them by hand. The second thing we weren't pleased about was the extra guest in the kitchen: a mouse! We saw a mouse running around in the evenings and during the day we heard it squeeking regularly in the area behind the stove. As the weather in Gozo is very hot in summer the aircondintioning is crucial for a good night of sleep. We think it is a pitty that we had to pay extra for that. I think it should be included in the price. The machine only worked with Euro coins. Of course we did not have a bag of coins with us on our holiday zo we were obliged to ask everywhere to change money during the day so we had enough coins for the airconditioning machine. Also a good advice is to place shutters or blinds on the windows that would make the house - especially the hallway upstairs and the bedrooms - less warm.

Beautiful home away from home

The home was absolutely wonderful, all of us fell in love with it more each day. There is a bit of a narrow road to get through to it but it's definitely worth it! The back is lovely and private and the house is full of character and very spacious. The only thing I'd say that let it down was that the pool wasn't cleaned whilst we were there (10 days) but that was it. We'd love to come back in the future.

Pity about the neighbours

The property was pleasant and handily placed for a quiet part of the island. First the cons: The pool had been cleaned but there were berries from the trees surrounding the pool that had not been swept. Upstairs mosquito netting was torn on the edges and therefore not practical however, there were not too many mosquitos. The tap on the container that holds the drinking water leaked and we needed to place a pan underneath it. Upstairs bathroom window needed a good coat of paint as rust was showing. Downstairs shower temperature varied during usage. The view from the upstairs corridor was over a rubbish tip next door that didn’t belong to the property.. Next door’s dog barked everyday and often early morning and late at night. There was no key that worked for the doors to the courtyard. There were A4 size papers stuck in the property with instructions such as “Charges will be made for any towels that have stains.” Each instruction page was finished with “Authorised by the Management” or similar wording which made it sound like it was run by the Gestapo. Now the pros: Good pool area with a good bbq and outside table and chairs. We ate there every night and didn’t feel going to a restaurant would have bettered the experience. All rooms were tidy and clean with sufficient supply of dishwasher tablets in the kitchen which had all that was needed. Had it not been for the dog barking next door, the area was otherwise peaceful and gave good views of the sunset each evening although the person who greeted us only told us there was a washing line on the roof. When we discovered the area, we took chairs up and made this a regular visit each evening for the sunset. The directions we were given were clear and the satnav found the property without problem.

Perfect Gozo Holiday

We spent the second week of a two week holiday in Malta at Ponderosa home in Gozo - and it was a wonderful time. The property is great for a family - the kids had so much fun in the pool - and it was relaxing environment in the evenings - just chilling the living area listening to music. It's easy to get everywhere in Gozo and I had some great runs nearby to the coast (tough uphills) if you're looking - just book it - you'll enjoy it

Sehr schön hergerichtetes Ferienhaus

Das Ferienhaus war wirklich sehr schön und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das einzige was negativ aufgefallen war, dass die Matratzen in den Betten nicht sonderlich bequem waren und der Lattenrost bei jeder Bewegung zu hören war.

Fantastic villa with everything

The property was amazing,clean and cool. The outside sun area was everything the photos promised with a lovely sized pool.the beds where a little hard but over all our time there was brilliant. We couldn't have asked for more

A very nice Farmhouse

Larger than portrayed in the description; well fitted out; plenty of outdoor space, the pool needed maintenance during the week it was green by the end of the week! A shame that the downstairs bedroom was so far away from the cloakroom; would be helpful if there was clearer information of the layout of rooms; info said sofa bed in fact it was a proper bed; upstairs one room was shown having 3 single beds only had two. When sharing with other families this information is important. Excellent having fly screens on the windows and some doors. Clean throughout; we would definitely go again. Some good restaurants in the area; don't recommend the one in the village,good food in Marsalforn and nearby Xlendi. Good local shops didn't have to go to Victoria. The farmhouse was in a very quiet location and not overlooked.Would recommend.
