Wonderful view and lovely open spacious apartment

It is the view of the sea and the sun from sun rise to sunset that makes this apartment so special. Very good location and nice to have access to the facilities of the MacDonald resort

Lovely view, steps from the boardwalk

Spacious apartment with excellent views to Gibralter. The boardwalk in both directions allowed for strolls to various chiringuitos. Temperatures in February were on the chilly side, but the enclosed sunroom was nice to have.

Incredible Views

The views are stunning. The apartment is spacious with all necessary conveniences. Very clean. For the price we paid, we felt it an exceptional value. We will stay here again. Apartment management was responsive, and communicated with the hotel to assist us when we had an issue.

We had a fantastic holiday with my two daughters age13 and 10 , my mum came with us too and my cousin with her 13nd year old daughter. We had a clean apartment with food on arrival, all beds are very clean . Kids had access to indoor pool every day ! Outside we had a bus organizing trips to different places,need to book at the reception in advance.Gibraltar trip was on Wednesday morning and was perfect! Plenty car park spaces...I booked on Internet and I wasn't disappointed ! Will recommend this apartment who would like a family friendly place.... Will definitely come back next year! Thank you

Beautiful, clean apartment with a seaview

Everything went smoothly from the first contact to the return of the damage deposit. Really good value for money. The apartment was clean, nicely decorated and there was plenty of space for a family of 4 and a family of 3 (children aged 16, 7 and 6). Great water pressure, never ran out of warm water. Comfy beds. The only thing we missed (but not much) was a balcony. The view more than made up for it. The resort itself was very nice with three swimming pools with the beach just few steps away from the main pool area. In October the kiddie pool was a bit chilly for our kids so the indoor pool was a nice addition. There was plenty of restaurants to choose from in the resort and I believe the apartment had a parking garage/place but we never looked for it because we were able to find parking near the apartment every night. A lovely apartment in a beautiful resort -I can highly recommend it to anyone wanting to have it all right there.

An excellent apartment that brings the outside in

We have holidayed on the Mijas Costa many times but this was our first visit to the Dona Lola resort. The images of this apartment and its location just off frontline beach were what attracted us. We were not disappointed. However the gallery isn't able to fully compliment the enjoyment of opening up the glass curtain on the open-plan terrace and allowing the wonderful floral scents to waft through while gazing out at beautiful sunsets all the way down to Gibraltar. Although there were only four in our party I'm sure the open-plan layout would still offer a generous social area if the apartment was fully occupied. The apartment's bedrooms were also well proportioned with fitted wardrobes in each providing plenty of hanging space. The owner had catered for everything we needed and more. We like to travel around a lot and cannot therefore offer too much info on the resort facilities.We did take a look around the leisure centre (free passes provided by owner) and it appeared well managed/maintained. The Look Inn restaurant is well worth a visit.Four clean plates was a first for us. Parking on site might be an issue during peak holiday periods although a private garage space is available. Overall a thoroughly good experience which we would be delighted to repeat . PS Received our refund deposit within 48 hours of checkout. Great service. Pat,JOHNSTONE,Scotland

Fabulous

The property had been renovated as we arrived- with a sofa so comfortable that we are actually going to purchase one for home! At first check- I didn't think I would be able to sleep on the bed at all as it was so firm as I have a bad back- but was delighted that it was actually deceptively comfortable. Excellent communication with the office- who solved any slight issue as well as sorted taxis for the transfer. The resort may not be the most luxurious- but we would be hard pressed to remember such a friendly resort- both guests and employees- as well as excellent and well priced restaurants. Totally unfaultable. Plenty of sun loungers- and if it was full the lifeguards could be seen helping guests to find and move others. The pool was also spotless. The children in our other party loved the turtles, toads, lizards cats etc all on site. - and a joyous lack of insects. Not one mosquito or cockroach in the apartment in 2 weeks. A couple of slight (but not major) negatives The bathrooms are in need of an upgrade- but still perfectly clean and useable The only thing I would take into account is the "terrace" isn't what I would refer to as such- it is a room with a large glass window that fully opens (there is a technique to this that maintenance came to show us)- but it's not possible to sunbathe etc on there- but lovely for dinner/coffee etc- and with a delightful sea view and sea breeze- great for drying washing. We booked a clean mid week- this doesn't include towel or bed changes- so perhaps not really worth it. Overall- this exceeded our expectations and we would definitely return.

Really enjoyable stay despite it all!

I would agree with a previous review that may be the property is getting close to needing some light refurbishment, to avoid people being potentially disappointed vs the pictures. However the property size, location and complex where ideal for what we were looking for and hence we all really enjoyed our ourselves despite the probelms with Covid-19 all round us. We certianly never felt unsafe within the resort or property with the measures being taken to protech us.

Beautiful view

We are a family of 5. 2 adults 3 boys ages 15,12 and 10. We found the apartment clean and spacious with everything you would need and more. We found the beds a tad firm for us. But we love a soft bed. The sofa also was also a bit hard. Apart from this we had a fabulous holiday the area is lovely with plenty of restaurants minutes away. We ate out most nights and had a lovely meal in all of them. ( and I’m quite a fussy eater) the apartment complex was very clean and staff lovely. All in all a massive success. Thank you

Perfekt efterårsferie

Vi havde en rigtig dejlig ferie i denne feriebolig - den var ren, godt udstyret. En rigtig dejlig terrasse med glas skydelåger, der gjorde det muligt at sidde på terrassen om aftenen i uge 42. Alle måltider blev indtaget på terrassen, hvor der var den skønneste udsigt. Dejligt med både opvaskemaskine og vaskemaskine. Kan kun varmt anbefale denne bolig.

Our Beach houses, and our apartment, are the nicest of the complex.
As a result, reservations begin a long time in advance.

1 - The location:
Right on the Beach, and located close to all the cultural and natural sites that Andalusia can offer (Marbella, MIJAS Pueblo, Ronda, Grenada, Gibraltar, Malaga etc ...).
We are also located very close to activities for children (amusement parks) and outdoor activities (El Caminito del Rey, canyoning, hiking, mountain biking, Via Ferrata, waterfalls etc ...)

2 - The View:
All our accommodations, are south-facing, and offer extraordinary panoramic sea views

3 - The facilities of the club:
The resort has great facilities: huge swimming pools, a wellness centre (indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gym) , tennis courts etc ..... and beautiful gardens

4 - The services:
Everything is on site, bars, restaurants, mini-markets, supermarkets and shops etc .......

5 - The atmosphere:
It is a lively resort, all year long, but it remains quiet and pleasant.
