The cabin itself was beautiful, and the views were truly amazing. It was a lovely setting for our family Thanksgiving getaway.Unfortunately, we did experience several issues during our stay. Upon arrival, the door keypad was not functioning. When we contacted the host, they asked if we planned to leave the cabin and whether we wanted someone to come out to fix it. We confirmed that we would be leaving and requested that it be addressed. However, no one arrived the following day. After a follow-up call from my husband, we were told someone would come at a specific time, but when we returned later that day, the lock still had not been repaired. Because the door could not be secured, some family members had to stay behind while others went into town, as we did not feel comfortable leaving the cabin unlocked.In addition, we were surprised to learn that the fireplace could not be used unless temperatures were below 30 degrees and only during the months of December through March. Although we were visiting in November for Thanksgiving and the temperature dropped to 28 degrees, we were still unable to use the fireplace. A fireplace is a significant part of the cabin experience, and this policy may be worth reconsidering.We also found the hot tub to be unclean and did not feel comfortable using it. There were paint buckets around the property, a ladder near the front entrance, and the outdoor common area appeared to be under construction. Additionally, the grills were not functi

Beautiful property. Perfect size for our family of 17 and the kids loved all of the indoor space. Plenty of room for everyone. We had a great time.

Great stay at an alternative cabin on the same road bc this cabin had something broken on the hot tub during the dates we were staying. Cabin was switched the day of check in a few hours beforehand with no issues and we were switched to a cabin similar to this one that accommodated all of us with a working hot tub. Had a great time!

Wedding at Serre Vineyards

The home is beautiful. The views the sunrise and sunset. The only problem was infestation of stink bugs. Outside and inside. It still was ok just a little creepy since I’m not a bug person. I would still stay there again my family had a great time and close to a lot of different things.

Great place for family reunion!

This was a gorgeous property set on the side of the hill with magnificent views out the front as well as the back. Kitchen was well equipped, and we enjoyed our meals at the beautiful huge dining table, Our group was 17 and there were plenty of sleeping accommodations. Would definitely recommend for family reunions, or other large groups.

Mountain Weekend

The property is spectacular and is exactly as the photos show. We had a lot of items when we checked in that needed to be addressed and still no one reached back out from the team after I sent a list of items that went wrong. The major issues were addressed in a timely manner. Overall the property was amazing and very super quiet area. Location is great and the house is huge. Lots of space for everyone. Response from the manager was timely when issues occurred.

Family Mountain Thanksgiving

We had 20 people(+2 babies)in my family and they came Carolinas, New York State, and Michigan. The house was very clean, had a 20 person dining table, and had lots of cooking equipment and view was nice incredible! Very expensive but good value.

Spacious getaway with beautiful views

This is an upscale property located near Mount Airy and within less than 45 minutes from Stone Mountain and Pilot Mountain State parks, and other attractions. The cabin is relatively clean with well stocked kitchen and comfortable beddings. There’s plenty of room for our group of 17. We especially loved the long dining table that can sit 18-20 people. The outdoor mountain views, particularly at sunrise and sunset, are spectacular from the two-level deck. The heated hot tub is under a gazebo and adjacent to the fire pit. We had some issues at check in, such as getting the correct code for the community gate, the power for lower level kept on going out (presumably due to insufficient power circuit, a defective shower heads, and insufficient trash bags and dishwashing detergent. Due to the large size of the property, it was understandable that maintenance issues could often arise. Nonetheless, some of these issues were quickly rectified by Natalie, the property manager. She was also very gracious in providing us with information on nearby attractions. Overall, our group enjoyed the stay and we would consider returning in the near future.

Beautiful, spacious house in the mountains

We loved our stay at the Beary Cottage! The house was incredibly spacious, well equipped, and in the perfect location for a mountain getaway. During our stay, we were able to visit Mt. Airy and a local winery, all within a 30 min drive. There are also trails near the house that are great for hiking and trail running if you are okay with hills! The views were beautiful, as was the house, and we would definitely recommend at stay there to anyone going with a large group! The long dining room table and large couch in the main living room made for a great setup to spend quality time with everyone in our group. The rooms and spaces were even better than the pictures. We were overall very happy with our stay!

Great week in the mountains

The home provided plenty of space for all 20 of us. Beds were comfortable and the home was clean. We had a few maintenance issues along the way, but Natalie was able to get them all taken care of. The views were beautiful. Our family wants to come back again next time. A few small items to note - the water pressure in the upstairs shower was low and there was a good amount of ladybugs and some stink bugs. Thankfully neither of those are agressive bugs and were easy to work around, but might be something to have looked at.

Fantastic stay in a magical place

From a 1 year old to an 80 year old we had a wonderful time enjoying the mountain views and amenities of this house. There was solitude and beauty all around us. The back porch was a great place to sit and watch the sun rise each morning. The kitchen had everything we needed for all our needs. We were able to go on short exursions each day. Some of our group went hiking to Stone Mountain as others went to Mt. Airy. Scoops Ice Cream was a real hit. The area is beautiful and we would come again.

Fun Family Time with Our Furballs

The House is Huge. Perfect for our spread out eclectic group. Commutation was good. Lots of recommendations from the concierge Natalie. However, we had a TV in the master that didn’t work day 1, I communicated and asked for it to get fixed or replaced (because there are tvs stashed everywhere ie. closets and kitchen) no one ever came to look at it and my parents didn’t have a TV in their room the entire trip. Which is one of the things we look for when booking. Bugs in the kitchen, pest control came out within 48 hours. Didn’t solve the problem but put a nice bandaid on the issue. Note to future guests. Bring your own towels. The ones they provide are thin and older. Beds were older and worn out. Need to be replaced. The upstairs master has an attic access with no door on it. We had to move the chest of drawers in front of it to close it off so our dogs wouldn’t go in it. The kitchen is very well stocked. Pantry is huge. Overall the house is great! We loved being able to have our dogs with us for vacation as well!

Great Winter Getaway!

This house was great for a friends gathering with kids and dogs. Very spacious with great views and outdoor seating/fire pit. It ended up snowing the first day there, and the property manager really went above and beyond in reaching out before hand to make sure we were settled before the storm and followed up multiple times after, communicating about the road conditions and planned plowing in the community.

Exceeds expectations!!

The cabin was bigger and better than the pictures! There was something to do for every age group ! The view was amazing sunrise/sunset ! Everything was available from kitchen utensils to baking dishes to towels and linens , we couldn’t turn on the lights by the fire pit that was the only downfall other than that it was amazing .

Perfect Mountain Getaway

Beautiful location and the house was perfect for our family. Enjoyed our week away. The kitchen is very sparse on cooking items.. The PM was quick to respond when the A/C stopped working, although we did have to wait at the house until the repairman came. Also you might want to think about replacing the hot tub cover as we were afraid to use it, which was disappointing.

BUGS

The location is very scenic but kind of far from any stores or activities. The deck is in bad shape and needs repairs and paint. Some of the lights did not work. The cooking area is very small for a large kitchen. Games were broken downstairs. There were numerous beetle like bugs that came through the windows and doors,(even when closed). They did not bite or attack, but were everywhere in the house. In summary, the house needs a lot of work. The price, especially the owner's charge is outrageous considering the condition and remote location.

The door code was not automatically sent to my phone as stated. It took 45 min to get someone.

Property is very nice. I chose the property because it had separate bedrooms with a king bed (versus queen in others) which all our married couples appreciated. Note that the door code was not auto sent to my phone as stated. I called the number listed if there was an issue and the person could not help us (? why were they listed then). I received a response 45 min later with the code after I sent an email via the confirmation email 'contact us'. For future information, you will need to bring your own tissue boxes, dish towels, garbage pail bags (tall), dishwasher pods (if you anticipate needing more than 1).
