While the location was fabulous, that was the only thing fabulous. I checked several things before booking during coronavirus, and was pleased this unit would not have any comforters during our stay. When we checked in, surprise, comforters. When I called management, they said that ended August 1. Our stay started August 10. Nothing noted this change in our pre vacation communications. So that was disappointing.
Then the tv in the front bedroom didn’t work. But we are trying to social distance so did not want anyone to come in and fix it. So we didn’t get to use that.
And I referenced what coffee maker would be in this unit before going because we were bringing all our groceries with us to avoid grocery store, and when I arrived, it was not the maker described and had to go to grocery and get filters and coffee. It’s obviously not the end of the world, but for a family that is trying to avoid others during COVID 19, this was frustrating.
The cleaning wasn’t phenomenal, there were gnats in the kitchen our whole stay - gross. There was a full ashtray on the back patio, and the rugs didn’t look vacuumed. The unit itself, needs a MAJOR upgrade. There are so many patches of paint on the walls trying to fix chips and such. Blinds are missing from the master and doesn’t block the sunlight so you wake up at 6am. The furniture is run down.
The pool was dingy and rundown. The splash area was fun for my kids.
I have no idea how this unit has four stars. I will say location is perfect and accessing the beach is easy. We will not be staying here again.
